2015 South Korean Figure Skating Championships
The South Korean Figure Skating Championships () are an annual figure skating competition organized by the Korea Skating Union to crown the national champions of South Korea. Medals are awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance at the senior, junior, and novice levels, although not every discipline is held every year due to a lack of participants. Many international and national figure skating competitions are organized yearly. The three levels of ISU international competition are senior, junior, and advanced novice. Non-elite skaters may also compete in 'Adult' competitions. Yeoncheon
Yeoncheon County (''Yeoncheon-gun'') is a county in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The county seat is Yeoncheon-eup (연천읍) and sits on Gyeongwon Line, the Korail railroad line connecting Seoul, South Korea (ROK), with North Korea (DPRK). History A variety of Paleolithic relics have been discovered at Jeongok-ri, first in 1978. Since 1993 the Yeoncheon Jeongok-ri Paleolithic Festival has celebrated the discovery. Yeoncheon was the site of the Battle of Yultong during the Korean War, where the Philippine 10th Battalion Combat Team defended their position during the First Chinese Spring Offensive. Lee June-hyoung
Lee June-hyoung (; born October 28, 1996) is a South Korean former competitive figure skater. He is the 2014 JGP France champion and a three-time South Korean national champion (2013, 2015, 2016). He is the first South Korean male figure skater who stood on the podium and won gold at ISU events. Also, he is the first Korean male skater to qualify for the ISU Junior Grand Prix Final. Personal life Lee June-hyoung was born in Seoul, South Korea. His mother, Oh Ji Youn, is a figure skating coach. Career Early years Lee was coached by his mother from the age of seven to 14. He started working with Chi Hyun-jung as his coach in 2010. The International Skating Union (ISU) is the international sport governing body, governing body for competitive ice skating disciplines, including figure skating, synchronized skating, speed skating, and short track speed skating. Jung Sung-il (figure Skater)
Jung Sung-il (October 21, 1969) is a South Korean retired competitive figure skater. He is the 1991 Winter Universiade silver medalist. He placed as high as sixth at the World Junior Championships (1988) and 14th at the World Championships (1991). A three-time Olympian, he placed 22nd at the 1988 Winter Olympics, 21st at the 1992 Winter Olympics, and 17th at the 1994 Winter Olympics.
