2015 S.League
The 2015 S.League was the 20th season since the establishment of the S.League, the top-flight Singaporean professional league for association football clubs. The league was also known as the Great Eastern Life, Great Eastern Yeo Hiap Seng, Yeo's S.League due to sponsorship reasons. Warriors FC were the defending champions. Changes from 2014 The league underwent a number of changes in its 20th season in order to increase its competitiveness: * The number of clubs was reduced from 12 to 10, with the withdrawal of Tanjong Pagar United FC, Tanjong Pagar United due to financial problems, and the merger of Woodlands Wellington FC, Woodlands Wellington and Hougang United FC, Hougang United. * The league returned to a three-round format used from 2001 to 2011. * The foreign player quota remained at five per club but incentives were given to those who signed an under-21 player. * The passing time for the mandatory 2.4 km fitness test was lowered from 10 mins to 9 mins 45 s. 2015 Singapore Charity Shield
The 2015 Singapore Charity Shield (also known as the Great Eastern Life, Great Eastern SG50 Charity Shield for sponsorship reasons as well as to commemorate Singapore's 50th year of independence) was the 8th edition of the Singapore Charity Shield held on 1 March 2015 at Jalan Besar Stadium, between the winners of the previous season's S.League and Singapore Cup competitions. The match was contested by 2014 S.League champions Warriors FC, Warriors and 2014 Singapore Cup winners Balestier Khalsa FC, Balestier Khalsa. Tanjong Pagar United FC
Tanjong Pagar United Football Club is a professional football club based in Queenstown, Singapore. The club currently competes in the Singapore Premier League, the top tier of Singaporean football. Tanjong Pagar United took part in the S.League from 1996 to 2004, and from 2011 to 2014. The club withdrew from the league after the 2004 season because of financial problems, but returned in 2011, with several similar breaks meanwhile. The club has since returned from 2020. Hang Jebat Stadium
The Hang Jebat Stadium () is a multi-purpose stadium with a capacity of 40,000 people in Krubong/ Paya Rumput, Malacca, Malaysia. It was completed in September 2004 and named after a Malacca Sultanate Laksamana, Hang Jebat. The stadium was the home for Melaka United and is currently used mostly for football matches. In 2010, it became the main venue for the Sukma Games. Harimau Muda B
Harimau Muda B (''The Young Tigers'') was the Malaysia under-21 national football team managed by the Football Association of Malaysia. which took part in Malaysia Premier League from the 2007–08 season and also FA Cup Malaysia. In 2015, Harimau Muda once again became a single team composed of former Harimau Muda A & B players. Harimau Muda B last competed in Singapore's 2014 S. League. Bedok Stadium
Bedok Stadium is a football stadium located in Bedok, Singapore. It is the main home ground of Singapore Premier League side, Geylang International FC, and used mostly for football matches for both the Singapore Premier League and Singapore National Football League competitions. Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium (; abbrev. SNHB) is a multi-purpose stadium in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. It is currently used mostly for association football matches. The stadium holds 28,000 and was opened on 23 September 1983. It was named after Bruneian Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. Construction The idea of constructing a modern stadium in Brunei was first made by the former Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien III to commemorate the visit of Elizabeth II on February 29, 1972. A meeting was held on May 16, 1972 on which the special committee made a decision to build a stadium in Bandar Seri Begawan. Toa Payoh Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium in Toa Payoh, Singapore. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home stadium of Balestier Khalsa. The stadium held 3,800 people. It was taken over by the then Singapore Sports Council on 30 November 1973, and opened to the public on 1 March 1974. Geylang International Football Club is a professional football club based in Bedok, Singapore, that competes in Singapore Premier League, the top division of football in Singapore. The club was founded in 1973 and played their first season in 1974, winning the FAS Division Three League which earned them a spot in National Football League Division One the following year. Young Lions Football Club, commonly known as Young Lions, is a developmental football club based in Kallang, Singapore, which competes in the Singapore Premier League. The team is under the control of the Football Association of Singapore.
