2015 Nottingham Open
The 2015 Nottingham Open (known for sponsorship reasons as the Aegon Open Nottingham) was a combined men's and women's tennis tournament played on outdoor grass courts. It was the fifth edition of the event for the women (the first since 1974) and the 20th edition for the men (the first since 2008). It was classified as a WTA International tournament on the 2015 WTA Tour and as an ATP World Tour 250 series tournament on the 2015 ATP World Tour. The event took place at the Nottingham Tennis Centre in Nottingham, United Kingdom from 8 June through 15 June 2015 for the women, and from 21 June through 27 June 2015 for the men. Grass Court
A grass court is one of the types of tennis court on which the sport of tennis, originally known as "lawn tennis", is played. Grass courts are made of grasses in different compositions depending on the tournament. While grass courts are more traditional than other types of tennis courts, they are far less commonly used today compared to hard courts and clay courts. There are several disadvantages with grass courts: in particular, they are much more expensive to maintain compared to other surfaces. Also, grass courts (in the absence of suitable covers) are usually unplayable for the day if rain appears, as grass becomes very slippery when wet and will not dry for many hours. In contrast, play on a hard court can resume in 30 to 120 minutes after the end of rain, and clay courts can even remain playable in light rain. Leonardo Martín Mayer (, ; born May 15, 1987) is a tennis coach and a former professional player from Argentina. A wild card (also wildcard or wild-card and also known as an at-large berth or at-large bid) is an invitation to a tournament or a playoff berth awarded to a team or individual that does not qualify via an automatic bid. Andreas Seppi (born 21 February 1984) is an Italian former professional tennis player. He reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 18 on 28 January 2013.
