2015 Netball Superleague Season
The 2015 Netball Superleague season (known for sponsorship reasons as the Zeo Netball Superleague) was the tenth season of the Netball Superleague. The league was won by Surrey Storm after defeating Hertfordshire Mavericks in the grand final. Manchester Thunder finished top of the table following the regular season but they subsequently lost to Mavericks in the semi-finals. Thunder eventually finished third overall. Yorkshire Jets were the surprise team of the season, finishing third during the regular season and fourth overall. This was the first season in Superleague history that Team Bath did not qualify for the semi-finals. Teams Regular season This season saw extra time introduced for drawn matches. If the scores were even after sixty minutes of play, matches were to continue into extra-time, consisting of two seven minute halves. Netball Superleague
The Netball Super League is an elite netball league in the United Kingdom. The league is organised by England Netball but features teams based in Netball in England, England, Netball in Wales, Wales and previously Netball in Scotland, Scotland. The Super League commenced at the 2005–06 Netball Superleague season, 2005–06 season, replacing the AENA Super Cup, Super Cup as the elite netball competition in England. From 2016 Netball Superleague season, 2016-21 the league was Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by VitalityHealth and, as a result, Naming rights, known as the Vitality Netball Super League. Since 2022, it has been known as the Netball Super League. Bonus Arena (Hull)
The Sports Arena also known as the Tigers Trust Arena (formerly the Airco Arena the Bonus Arena, Gemtec Arena and the Vulcan Arena) is a sports centre located next to the MKM Stadium in Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The arena was built at the same time as the KC Stadium and is a multisport arena used by many people in and around Hull. It is used by many of the city's schools, colleges and universities and is a popular place for association football or other sport tournaments to take place, including The Tigers 5-A-Side Tournament. Sport Central is a multi-purpose built sports centre and events arena that is located in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. It forms part of the Northumbria University campus, in the city centre. Team Northumbria (netball)
Team Northumbria is an English netball team based at Northumbria University. Between 2001 and 2005 they played in the Super Cup as Northern Flames. They also played as Team Northumbria Flames. Between 2005–06 and 2018, their senior team played in the Netball Superleague. The netball team is one of several sports teams based at Northumbria University that use the Team Northumbria brand name. The University of Bath is a public research university in Bath, England.
