2015 Munster Senior Football Championship
The 2015 Munster Senior Football Championship will be that year's installment of the annual Munster Senior Football Championship held under the auspices of Munster GAA. It is one of the four provincial competitions of the 2015 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Kerry entered the competition as defending Munster champions and retained their title after a 1–11 to 1–6 victory over Cork in a replay. The draw to decide the fixtures was made on 10 October 2014. Having reached the final the year before, Cork and Kerry were both given places in the semi-finals of the competition, but unlike previous seasons, they were not prevented from meeting each other in the semi-finals. Despite this, the two teams were drawn on different sides of the tournament, and so could not meet outside the final. Munster Senior Football Championship
The Munster Senior Football Championship, known simply as the Munster Championship and shortened to Munster SFC, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Munster GAA, Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county Gaelic football competition in the province of Munster, and has been contested every year, bar one, since the 1888 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship#Munster Senior Football Championship, 1888 championship. The final, currently held on the fourth Saturday in June, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during May and June, and the results determine which team receives the Munster Cup. 1920 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship
The 1920 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 34th staging of Ireland's premier Gaelic football knock-out competition. In the Leinster final Dublin ended Kildare's period as All Ireland champions. The championship was disrupted by the ongoing Irish War of Independence, including the events of Bloody Sunday in November 1920, when British forces killed fourteen people at a match between Dublin and Tipperary at Croke Park in Dublin. Because Dublin and Tipperary were the eventual finalists, it is often incorrectly assumed that this was the All-Ireland final, but it was actually a challenge match held to raise funds for the Republican Prisoners Dependents Fund. In fact, Tipperary did not play their semi-final match until 1922, 19 months after Dublin won the first semi-final. The Final was played in June 1922. Peter Creedon
Peter Creedon is a Gaelic football manager. He is originally from Rosscarbery, County Cork He has managed two county teams: Tipperary and Laois and currently manages the Tipperary Ladies football team Early life Creedon worked as the principal of St Ailbe's and now is principal of Colaiste Dun Iascaigh (Schools in Tipperary Town and Cahir) and lives in Thurles. He is a former coach of the Cahir senior football team and of his former local team Roscarbery, and was in charge of the Tipperary minor and under-21 football teams from 2003 to 2008. The 1896 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the tenth staging of Ireland's premier Gaelic football knock-out competition. It was the first championship in which a goal was worth three points. Limerick won their second, and so far last, title. In the Munster final they beat Tipperary, the defending champions. John Brudair
John Brudair is a Gaelic football and hurling manager. He was appointed manager of the Limerick county football team in 2013. He managed the team until 2016, when he stepped down. While managing Limerick in 2016, Brudair chose St Conleth's Park in Newbridge ahead of Croke Park when it came to the important choice of football versus an All-Ireland senior camogie final which had a team in it that he was also managing on the side, showing his commitment and dedication to the development of Limerick football over camogie.
