2015 Maya Awards
The 2015 Maya Awards (Indonesian: Piala Maya 2015) is an award ceremony honoring the best Indonesian films of 2015. The ceremony was held at Soehanna Hall, SCBD, South Jakarta, on December 19, 2015. The award ceremony is held in collaboration with the SAE Institute and Kineria.com, with the 2015 theme being "Imajinasia". Being nominated to 14 times, '' Guru Bangsa: Tjokroaminoto'' also was biggest winner film for taking home eight trophy awards, behind '' Filosofi Kopi'' and '' Nada Untuk Asa'' were received double awards. Nomination process A committee of 350 independent judges makes selections from Indonesian films released in the period from December 1, 2014, to November 30, 2015. Nominations were announced on December 1, 2015. Public nominations were also made in several categories such as Short Film, Animation, and Documentary. Angga Dwimas Sasongko
Angga Dwimas Sasongko (born 11 January 1985) is an Indonesian film director. He studied at University of Indonesia with a major in political science. His career began when he was 19 years old. In 2008, he founded Visinema Pictures, a film production company based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He has created dozens of TV commercial videos, hundreds of Music Videos, one feature documentary and five feature films. Melliana Cessy Goeslaw (born 7 January 1974) is an Indonesian singer, songwriter, politician, and actress. Born in Bandung, Melly Goeslaw began singing in the fifth grade, then began writing songs and took work as a backing vocalist for Elfa Secioria in high school. This led to her family and her moving to Jakarta to further her career. While providing backing vocals for Katon Bagaskara's promotional tour, she met Anto Hoed and Andi Ayunir. Erwin Gutawa
Erwin Gutawa Sumapraja (born 16 May 1962) is an Indonesian composer. In 1985, he started his professional music career by joining the jazz band Karimata, later becoming an independent composer in 1991. As a composer, he won the 1992 Midnight Sun Song Festival in Finland, together with Ruth Sahanaya. Andi Rianto (born May 7, 1972) is a noted Indonesian film score composer who has worked on several of Indonesia's most popular films. He's also the leader of the Magenta Orchestra.
