The 2015 MAC Championship Game was an NCAA Division I college football conference championship game for the Mid-American Conference. The game was played at Ford Field in Detroit on Friday, December 4, 2015, and featured 2015 Bowling Green Falcons football team, Bowling Green (East Division winners) defeat 2015 Northern Illinois Huskies football team, Northern Illinois (West Division) 34–14. History For the third consecutive season the Bowling Green Falcons and Northern Illinois Huskies faced off in the MAC Championship Game. The previous season, the Huskies defeated the Falcons 51-17 to win the conference title. 2015 marked the sixth consecutive MAC Championship appearance for the Huskies. The MAC Football Championship Game is a football game between the winners of the East and West divisions of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) to determine the conference champion. History The game has been played since 1997, when the conference was first divided into divisions and since 2020 has been sponsored by Rocket Mortgage (officially known as the Rocket Mortgage MAC Football Championship). Joel Bouagnon
Joel Bouagnon (born March 28, 1995) is a former American football running back. He played college football at Northern Illinois University, and signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2017. High school and college career Bouagnon played high school football first at Central High School in Burlington, Illinois and then transferred to Aurora Christian High School in Aurora, Illinois. Bouagnon committed to Northern Illinois in 2013 and as a true freshman appeared in four games. By 2015, Bouagnon earned a First-team All-Mac selection as a running back running for 1,285 yards and 18 Touchdowns. Bouagnon's 18 rushing touchdowns were tied for 10th most in the FBS for the 2015 season. Gehrig Dieter
Gehrig Richard Dieter (born February 24, 1993) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football at the University of Alabama, Bowling Green State University, and Southern Methodist University (SMU). After going undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft, he signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent. He would spend his entire career with the Chiefs, where he won Super Bowl LIV. Roger Lamonte Lewis Jr. (born November 27, 1993) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football at Bowling Green. In 2016, Lewis was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Giants. Early life Lewis attended Pickerington High School Central in Pickerington, Ohio. He became a star football player at the school and he earned scholarship offers from 17 Division I schools. During his senior year in 2012, Lewis was charged with two counts of rape. It was alleged that he raped a classmate in the basement of another classmate's house on December 2, 2011. The second charge alleged that Lewis raped the same classmate again in the back seat of her car on January 6, 2012. Matthew Quinn Johnson (born September 9, 1992) is an American football coach and former quarterback, who is currently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Kent State Golden Flashes. He played college football for the Bowling Green Falcons. College career As a redshirt sophomore in 2013, he passed for 3,467 yards and 25 touchdowns. 2015 Central Michigan Chippewas Football Team
The 2015 Central Michigan Chippewas football team represented Central Michigan University in the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by first-year head coach John Bonamego and played their home games at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. They were members of the West Division of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 7–6, 6–2 in MAC play to finish in a four-way tie for the West Division title.
