2015 Dutch Basketball Supercup
The 2015 Dutch Basketball Supercup was the 5th edition of the annual super cup game in Dutch basketball. This year reigning champions SPM Shoeters Den Bosch faced off against Donar Groningen, the 2014–15 NBB Cup winners. Den Bosch won its first Supercup title. Donar Groningen
Donar, also known as Donar Groningen, is a professional basketball club based in Groningen, Netherlands. The club competes in the BNXT League and its home arena is MartiniPlaza, which has a seating capacity of 4,350 people. Donar is one of the traditional first division clubs along with Den Bosch, as it entered the league years ago. The club won the national DBL championship seven times; in 1982, 2004, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Donar was runner-up in the seasons: 1998, 2006, 2011, 2015. There are also six Dutch Cups in the honor list of Donar; they won the cup in 2005, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022. Marcel Aarts (born 9 August 1983) is a Dutch retired basketball player. Aarts is tall and usually played at the center position. Career Aarts started his career with the EiffelTowers Den Bosch, and played here for 9 seasons. Kendrick Shamar Brown (born October 24, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for KB Trepça of the Kosovo Basketball Superleague. He plays at the point guard position. Chase Fieler (born June 10, 1992) is an American basketball player for the Saga Ballooners of the Japanese B.League. Fieler usually plays at the power forward position. College career Fieler played for Florida Gulf Coast University from 2010 to 2014. He was a member of the 2012–13 team that became known for its surprise run during the NCAA Tournament. Ross Bekkering
Ross Bekkering (born August 19, 1987) is a former Canadian-Dutch professional basketball player. Bekkering played in the Dutch Basketball League. Bekkering is the younger brother of Henry Bekkering, who was a professional basketball player as well. He played collegiately for Calgary, where he played five years. In 2010, he started his professional career in the Netherlands with ZZ Leiden, winning the Dutch Basketball League in his rookie year. The following year, he signed with Matrixx Magixx. 2014–15 Dutch Basketball League
The 2014–15 Dutch Basketball League season will be the 55th season of the Dutch Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands. The defending champion was Donar from Groningen. The league started the season with nine teams, after Matrixx Magixx didn't enter. In December the number of teams was reduced to eight, after Den Helder Kings went bankrupt. Top seeded SPM Shoeters won the league, by beating Donar 4–1 in the Finals. Teams Before the season Matrixx Magixx announced it was withdrawing from the DBL, because the club could not complete its budget. Consequently, the league started with nine teams instead of ten. Heroes Den Bosch is a Dutch professional basketball club based in 's-Hertogenbosch. The club plays in the BNXT League since 2021 and in the top basketball division in the Netherlands since 1972.
