2015 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters
The 2015 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters was the twenty-ninth season of premier German touring car championship and also sixteenth season under the moniker of Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters since the series' resumption in 2000. The season started on 2 May at Hockenheim, and ended on 18 October at the same venue, with Mercedes Benz driver Pascal Wehrlein clinching the Drivers' Championship, Mercedes Benz's HWA AG winning the Teams' Championship and BMW taking the Manufacturer's Championship after a total of nine events. Marco Wittmann entered the season as the defending Drivers' Champion, BMW Team RMG as the defending Teams' Champion and Audi as the defending Manufacturers' Champion. Pascal Wehrlein (; born 18 October 1994) is a German and Mauritian racing driver, who competes in Formula E for Porsche. In formula racing, Wehrlein competed under the German flag in Formula One from to , and won the 2023–24 Formula E World Championship with Porsche. Born and raised in Sigmaringen to a German father and a Mauritian mother, Wehrlein began karting aged eight, winning several regional championships before progressing to junior formulae in 2010. Racing Bart Mampaey (formerly Juma Racing) is a racing team based in Mechelen, Belgium that runs the BMW Team RBM operation in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. Martin Tomczyk (born 7 December 1981) is a former German professional racing driver. He is now the motorsports director at ABT Sportsline. He was the DTM champion in 2011, third in 2007, fourth in 2006 and fifth in 2004, having won eight races. Racing career After a karting career, he raced in Formula BMW and Formula Three, where he finished 12th in 2000. In 2001 he moved up to the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters.
