2015 Colorado Rapids Season
The 2015 Colorado Rapids season was the club's twentieth season of existence, and their twentieth season in Major League Soccer, the top tier of the American and Canadian soccer pyramids. The team began the season with three scoreless matches and were both the final team that failed to register a goal, and the last that did not allowed one. A loss in their fourth match extended their scoreless streak to four, and their winless streak dating back to last season to 18 matches. Colorado Rapids
The Colorado Rapids are an American professional soccer club based in the Denver metropolitan area. The Rapids compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Western Conference. Founded in 1995, as part of the Anschutz Corporation, later to be a founding sports franchise of the global sports & entertainment juggernaut AEG, the club is a founding member of MLS, playing their first season in 1996. The Rapids are owned by the Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, also owners of the Denver Nuggets of NBA, Colorado Avalanche of NHL, and other sports teams outside of the state of Colorado. FC Dallas is an American professional soccer club based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The club competes as a member of the Western Conference in Major League Soccer (MLS). The franchise began play in 1996 as a charter club of the league. The club was founded in 1995 as the Dallas Burn before adopting its current name in 2004. Marcelo Fazzio Sarvas (born October 16, 1981) is a former Brazilian footballer who is currently the head coach for LA Galaxy II in MLS Next Pro. Club career Marcelo Sarvas began his career with Brazil's SC Corinthians Paulista debuting for the first team during the 2002 season. In 2003 the attacking midfielder joined Esporte Clube Noroeste and remained at the club for one year before leaving for Europe. Europe Sarvas signed for Swedish side Karlskrona AIF and remained at the club for one season before joining Kristianstads FF. The Philadelphia Union are an American professional soccer club based in Chester, Pennsylvania. The Union compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Eastern Conference. Founded on February 28, 2008, the club began playing in 2010 as an expansion team. Zachary Michael MacMath (born August 7, 1991) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper in Major League Soccer for Real Salt Lake. Michael Harrington (born January 24, 1986) is a former American soccer player. Career College and amateur Born in the North Carolina city of Greenville, Harrington attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he played on the men's college soccer team from 2003 to 2006. During the collegiate off season, he also played for the Raleigh CASL Elite of the Premier Development League. Professional Harrington was selected in the first round (third overall) of the 2007 MLS SuperDraft by Kansas City Wizards. He finished 3rd overall in voting for Rookie of the Year. Brian Mullan
Brian Mullan (born April 23, 1978) is an American former soccer player. He played for the Los Angeles Galaxy, San Jose Earthquakes, Houston Dynamo, and Colorado Rapids in Major League Soccer. He won 5 MLS Cups, 2 Supporters' Shields, and 1 U.S. Open Cup during his career. He is one of only four players to have won MLS Cup five or more times. Paul Bravo (born June 19, 1968) is an American former soccer player who was most recently head coach of NISA side Oakland Roots SC. He played six seasons in Major League Soccer, two in the American Professional Soccer League and two in the USISL.
