2015 Citi Open
The 2015 Citi Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 47th edition (for the men) and the 5th edition (for the women) of the Washington Open. The event was part of the ATP World Tour 500 series of the 2015 ATP World Tour, and of the WTA International tournaments of the 2015 WTA Tour. It took place at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in Washington, D.C., United States, from August 3 to August 9, 2015. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a type of surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Marin Čilić (; born 28 September 1988) is a Croatian professional tennis player. He has been ranked world No. 3 in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), achieved on 28 January 2018. Leonardo Martín Mayer (, ; born May 15, 1987) is a tennis coach and a former professional player from Argentina. Jack Sock (born September 24, 1992) is an American former professional tennis doubles and a current pickleball player. Pablo Gabriel Cuevas Urroz (; born January 1, 1986) is a Uruguayan tennis coach and a former professional player. Cuevas won the 2008 French Open – Men's doubles, 2008 French Open men's doubles title with Luis Horna, and was especially noted throughout his career for spectacular trickshots. Ivo Karlović
Ivo Karlović (; born 28 February 1979) is a Croatian former professional tennis player. His height of 211 cm (6 ft 11 in) makes him the joint-tallest ranked tennis player in history (along with Reilly Opelka). He won eight ATP Tour singles titles between 2007 and 2016. Viktor Troicki ( sr-Cyrl, Виктор Троицки, ; born 10 February 1986) is a Serbian tennis coach and a former professional player. He won three singles and two doubles titles on the ATP Tour. Troicki won his first ATP singles title at the 2010 Kremlin Cup, and his second and third ATP singles titles at the 2015 and 2016 Apia International Sydney. Feliciano López Díaz-Guerra (; born 20 September 1981) is a Spanish former professional tennis player.
