2015 CS Mordovian Ornament
The 2015 Mordovian Ornament is a senior international figure skating competition in the 2015–16 season. A part of the 2015–16 ISU Challenger Series, the 1st edition of the annual event were held on 15–18 October 2015 at the Palace of Sports of the city Saransk, Russia. Medals will be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Entries The preliminary entries were published on 25 September 2015. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Pair Skating
Pair skating is a figure skating discipline defined by the International Skating Union (ISU) as "the skating of two persons in unison who perform their movements in such harmony with each other as to give the impression of genuine Pair Skating as compared with independent Single Skating".S&P/ID 2021, p. 109 The ISU also states that a pairs team consists of "one Woman and one Man". Pair skating, along with men's and women's single skating, has been an Olympic discipline since figure skating, the oldest Winter Olympic sport, was introduced at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London. The ISU World Figure Skating Championships introduced pair skating in 1908. Like the other disciplines, pair skating competitions consist of two segments, the short program and the free skating program. Katharina Müller
Katharina Müller (born 12 September 1995) is a German competitive ice dancer. With her skating partner Tim Dieck, she is a two-time German national champion and has won many senior international medals, including two silver medals on the ISU Challenger Series and three gold medals at the German NRW Trophy. They have represented Germany at the European and World championships. Personal life Katharina Müller was born on 12 September 1995 in Nizhnevartovsk, Russia. She moved with her family to Germany in 1999. As of 2017, she is studying teaching, English, and sports science at Ruhr University Bochum. Mikalai Kamianchuk ( be, Мікалай Камянчук; born 9 August 1987) is a Belarusian pair skater. He has placed in the top ten at four European Championships, skating with Lubov Bakirova and Tatiana Danilova. Career Early career Kamianchuk began learning to skate in 1992. He switched from singles to pairs when he was 16 years old. Kamianchuk teamed up with Russia's Lubov Bakirova in 2009. Appearing at six ISU Championships, the two achieved their best result, 10th, at the 2011 Europeans in Bern and the 2012 Europeans in Sheffield. Tatiana Sergeyevna Danilova (russian: Татьяна Сергеевна Данилова; born 25 November 1993) is a Russian pair skater. Competing for Russia with Andrei Novoselov, she is the 2010 Golden Spin of Zagreb silver medalist. Competing for Belarus with Mikalai Kamianchuk, she is the 2015 Toruń Cup silver medalist and has finished in the top ten at two European Championships (2016, 2017).
