2015 Adelaide Film Festival
The 7th Adelaide Film Festival was held in Adelaide, South Australia, from 15 to 25 October 2015. Description Amanda Duthie was the Festival Director of the 7th edition of the festival, which ran from 15 to 25 October 2015. On the opening night of the festival, director and screenwriter Andrew Bovell received the 2015 Don Dunstan Award for his contribution to the Australian film industry. The festival opened with Scott Hicks's documentary film ''Highly Strung'' and closed with Paolo Sorrentino's drama film '' Youth''. More than 180 feature films were screened at the festival, 40 of which were Australian films, 24 South Australian films and total of 51 countries were represented at the Festival. Highly Strung (film)
''Highly Strung'' is the sixth studio album by English guitarist and songwriter Steve Hackett. "Cell 151" was a minor hit from the album, and charted in the UK. Added to Hackett's band was drummer Ian Mosley, who would join Marillion in 1984. This was Hackett's final studio release for Charisma. In 2007, ''Highly Strung'' was remastered and re-released on Virgin Records. The new edition features updated liner notes and three bonus tracks. The front cover painting is, as on many of Hackett's albums, by his then-wife Kim Poor. Background By the time Hackett started work on ''Highly Strung'' his relationship with management at Charisma Records, with whom he had been signed since the beginning of his solo career, had started to decline. ''Office'' () is 2015 South Korean slasher-thriller film directed by Hong Won-chan and starring Go Ah-sung and Park Sung-woong. It is about a detective trying to figure out why a mild-mannered man has killed his family and is targeting his co-workers. Gabriel Mascaro
Gabriel Mascaro (born September 24, 1983) is a Brazilian visual artist and film director. Biography Gabriel Mascaro is a Brazilian filmmaker and visual artist. He started his career as a documentary-maker in 2008, with KFZ-1348 (co-directed by Marcelo Pedroso), Um Lugar ao Sol (High-rise, 2009) and Doméstica (Housemaids, 2013). That same year, he released the short film A Onda Traz, O Vento Leva (Ebb and Flow). 2014 saw his first narrative feature-film, Ventos de Agosto (August Winds), followed in 2015 by Boi Neon (Neon Bull), which brought widespread acclaim. ''Lamb'' is a 2015 Ethiopian drama film directed by Yared Zeleke. It was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. Daniel Dencik (born 1972) is a Danish writer and film director currently residing in Samoa. He has published ten books, ranging from poetry to short stories and essays as well as four novels. He has studied Philosophy at Stockholm University, where he wrote his thesis about the existentialism of Kierkegaard. Later he graduated as a film editor from the National Film School of Denmark. In 1998 he had his first book of poetry published by Gyldendal. His work has been divided between film and literature ever since. Peter Sollett (born January 1, 1976) is an American film director and screenwriter known for his feature films '' Raising Victor Vargas'' (2002) and '' Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist'' (2008). Early life Sollett was born in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, New York.
