2014–15 PGA Tour
The 2014–15 PGA Tour was the 100th season of the PGA Tour, and the 48th since separating from the PGA of America. The season began on October 9, 2014. Changes for 2014–15 *One new event was added ( Barbasol Championship) and the Sanderson Farms Championship made a return. *Winners of the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Memorial Tournament were for the first time given three-year exemptions and invitations to the next three Players Championships. *For the first time, the conditional status category (126th to 150th in the FedEx Cup) was regularly reshuffled, like the Web.com Tour graduate and past champion categories. The McGladrey Classic was moved up two weeks from 2014. The CIMB Classic and WGC-HSBC Champions have each been moved back one week from 2014. The Sanderson Farms Championship is now an alternate event to the WGC-HSBC Champions, instead of being an alternate to The Open Championship as in recent years. Jason Day
Jason Day (born 12 November 1987) is an Australian professional golfer, PGA Tour member and winner of the 2015 PGA Championship. He is a former world number one in the World Golf Ranking, having first achieved the ranking in September 2015. Day first broke into the world's top ten in June 2011, rising to world number nine after his runner-up finish at the U.S. Open. In February 2014, Day won his first WGC title, the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and would win it for a second time in 2016. Nick Taylor (golfer)
Nick Taylor (born April 14, 1988) is a Canadian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour where he has won twice. Early life and amateur career Taylor was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up in Abbotsford, British Columbia. His home golf course is Ledgeview Golf and Country Club. He graduated from the University of Washington and won the 2007 Canadian Amateur Championship. In 2008, Taylor qualified for the U.S. Open, in which he missed the cut by three strokes. World Golf Championships
The World Golf Championships (WGC) are a group of annual professional golf tournaments created by the International Federation of PGA Tours as a means of gathering the best players in the world together more frequently than the pre-existing four major championships. All WGC tournaments are official money events on the PGA Tour and the European Tour, and officially sanctioned by the Asian Tour, Japan Golf Tour, Sunshine Tour, and PGA Tour of Australasia. 2014 WGC-HSBC Champions
The 2014 WGC-HSBC Champions was a golf tournament played 6–9 November 2014 at the Sheshan Golf Club in Shanghai, China. It was the sixth WGC-HSBC Champions tournament, and the fourth of four World Golf Championships events held in the 2014 calendar year. Bubba Watson won the tournament at the first playoff hole, holing a putt for a birdie at the 18th hole while Tim Clark took a par 5. Watson and Clark had tied for the lead at 277 after 72 holes. Watson seemed to have ruined his chance of winning by bogeying the 16th hole of the final round and taking a double bogey at the 17th. However he then holed out from a greenside bunker for an eagle at the last hole to take the lead. Clark then holed a putt for a birdie at the last to force a playoff. Ryan David Moore (born December 5, 1982) is an American professional golfer, currently playing on the PGA Tour. He had a highly successful amateur career, winning the NCAA Individual Championship, the U.S. Amateur Public Links, and the U.S. Amateur in 2004. Robert Streb (born April 7, 1987) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour where he has been a member since 2013. Streb was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and earned All-American honors while playing collegiate golf at Kansas State University. He graduated in 2009 and subsequently turned professional. Shriners Hospitals For Children Open
The Shriners Children's Open is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour in Nevada. Founded in 1983, it is the fourth event of the Tour's 2019–20 wrap-around season and is played annually in October in Las Vegas. It is currently held at the TPC Summerlin, west of central Las Vegas at an approximate average elevation of above sea level. Known by various titles, it was originally played over five rounds (90 holes) over several other courses. When created in 1983, it had the highest purse on tour at $750,000.
