2014–15 Liga EBA Season
The 2014–15 Liga EBA season was the 21st edition of the Liga EBA. This is the fourth division of Spanish basketball. Four teams will be promoted to LEB Plata. The regular season started in October 2014 and finished in March 2015. Promotion playoffs to LEB Plata were played in April 2015. Format Regular season Teams are divided in five groups by geographical criteria. Groups A and E is also divided in two. The maximum number of teams in groups A to D was reduced to fourteen. Agrupación de Baloncesto Pas, also known as Pas Piélagos, is a basketball team based in Renedo de Piélagos, Cantabria, Spain, who currently plays in Liga EBA. History AB Pas was founded in 1979 in Castañeda, Cantabria. In the 1983–84 season, Pas becomes runner-up of 1ª Autonómica League and promotes to the lowest national leagues. In 1991, the team goes to Renedo de Piélagos, where nowadays continue playing. Club Baloncesto Valladolid, S.A.D. was a professional basketball team based in Valladolid, Castile-León, Spain. CB Valladolid was member of the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB). Club Baloncesto Clavijo is a professional Basketball team based in Logroño, La Rioja. The team currently plays in league LEB Oro. History Founded in 1967, CB Clavijo started their first years playing in the provincial league and after achieving several promotions, reaches the Segunda División, third tier, in 1977. It played nine seasons, qualifying twice for the promotion playoffs to the second league, but after 1986 starts declining until 1998, when a group of former players and directors planned to take the helm of the club and to take it to the top divisions. The Liga Española de Baloncesto, also known as LEB Oro, is the second basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system after the Liga ACB. It is run by the FEB. The Liga Española de Baloncesto is divided into two categories (the other one is the LEB Plata). The LEB league was founded in 1996 and is played under FIBA rules. It was renamed LEB Oro in 2007. The league is contested by 18 clubs. Each season, the top-finishing team in the LEB Oro are automatically promoted to the Liga ACB. The teams that finish the season in 2nd to 9th place enter a playoff tournament, with the winner also gaining promotion to the Liga ACB.
