2014–15 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup
The 2014–15 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup was the 36th World Cup season in ski jumping for men, the 18th official World Cup season in ski flying and the 4th World Cup season for ladies. It began on 22 November 2014 and ended on 22 March 2015 in Planica, Slovenia. A break took place during the season in February for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 in Falun, Sweden. The defending champions from the previous season were Kamil Stoch from Poland, Peter Prevc from Slovenia as defending ski flying champion, and Sara Takanashi from Japan. The 63rd Four Hills Tournament offered extra prize money. Stefan Kraft of Austria won the tournament for the first time, followed by Michael Hayböck of Austria and Peter Prevc. February 2015 saw an improvement of the world record in ski jumping distance. On 14 February, Peter Prevc set the new mark with in Vikersund, Norway. Bischofshofen
Bischofshofen () is a town in the district of St. Johann im Pongau in the Austrian federal state of Salzburg. It is an important traffic junction located both on the Salzburg-Tyrol Railway line and at the Tauern Autobahn, a major highway route crossing the main chain of the Alps. Severin Freund
Severin Freund (born 11 May 1988) is a German former ski jumper and current TV expert. He competed at World Cup level from 2008 to 2022, and is one of the most successful ski jumpers from Germany, having won the overall World Cup title in 2015, and scoring 22 individual World Cup wins. As a member of the German national team, Freund won a gold medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics and later became the 2015 World Champion on both the large hill and mixed team competitions. Career Having made his Continental Cup debut in December 2004, his best result is the victory from Lillehammer in September 2008. He won a gold medal in the team competition at the 2008 Junior World Ski Championships. Richard Freitag
Richard "Richi" Freitag (; born 14 August 1991) is a German former ski jumper who competed at World Cup level from 2010 to 2022. Career His FIS Ski Jumping World Cup debut took place on 29 December 2009 at the Four Hills Tournament in Oberstdorf, having previously gained success in the Continental Cup. On 3 January 2010, he succeeded in Innsbruck with a 30th place-his first World Cup point. At the FIS Ski-Flying World Championships 2010 in Planica he reached the 28th place in the individual event. In his second season, he won the third place with the German team in Oberstdorf in 2011. At the beginning of the 2011/2012 World Cup, he finished 9th in Kuusamo. Gregor Schlierenzauer (; born 7 January 1990) is an Austrian former ski jumper who competed from 2006 to 2021. Anders Jacobsen (; born 17 February 1985) is a Norwegian former ski jumper. He competed at the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics and won a team bronze medal in the large hill event in 2010. Noriaki Kasai
is a Japanese ski jumper. His career achievements include a gold medal at the 1992 Ski Flying World Championships, winning the 1999 Nordic Tournament, individual silver medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and two individual bronze medals at the 2003 Ski Jumping World Championships. Roman Koudelka (; born 9 July 1989) is a Czech ski jumper. Career Koudelka's first world cup start was in Kuusamo on 24 November 2006. He finished in 31st position. He ended the season 39th in the world cup standings with 87 points. The following season he finished 17th in the world cup standings with 411 points. In the 2008/09 season, he finished 16th with 403 points. He tied for 63rd in the 2009/10 campaign with just 20 points.
