2014–15 Cypriot Cup
The 2014–15 Cypriot Cup was the 73rd edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 26 clubs entered the competition. It began on 29 October 2014 with the first round and concluded on 20 May 2015 with the final which was held at GSZ Stadium. APOEL clinched their 21st Cypriot Cup trophy and their second in successive seasons with a convincing 4–2 victory over AEL Limassol. Format In the 2014–15 Cypriot Cup, participated all the teams of the Cypriot First Division and the Cypriot Second Division (Divisions B1 and B2). Teams from the two lower divisions (Third and Fourth) competed in a separate cup competition. The competition consisted of five rounds. In the first round each tie was played as a single leg and was held at the home ground of the one of the two teams, according to the draw results. Each tie winner was qualifying to the next round. Cypriot Cup
The Cypriot Cup () is the main cup competition in Cypriot football, run by the Cyprus Football Association (CFA). It began in 1934, the same season with the Cypriot Championship. It is the second most important competition for Cypriot club teams after Cypriot Championship. Only the Cypriot First Division and the second division teams are participating in the competition. The sponsor of the competition since 1962 is Coca-Cola and thus officially known as Cyprus Coca-Cola Cup. Polis, Cyprus
Polis (or Polis Chrysochous; el, Πόλη Χρυσοχούς or Πόλις Χρυσοχούς, tr, Poli) is a town at the north-west end of the island of Cyprus, at the centre of Chrysochous Bay, and on the edge of the Akamas peninsula nature reserve. Polis is served by the fishing port of Latchi. History From the Ottoman period onwards, Polis became a mixed town, having sizeable Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities. Antonio "Toni" Calvo Arandes (born 28 March 1987) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a winger for FC Santboià. He spent the better part of his career with Aris (Greece) and Anorthosis (Cyprus). Yuriy Yakovenko ( ua, Юрій Павлович Яковенко; born 3 September 1993) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a forward. Career Yakovenko is product of youth team systems of FC Arsenal Kyiv, but in July 2010 transferred to other Kyivan club Obolon. He made his debut for FC Obolon Kyiv entering as a substituted player in game against FC Chornomorets Odesa on 31 October 2011 in Ukrainian Premier League. Konstantinos Laifis ( gr, Κωνσταντίνος Λαΐφης; born 19 May 1993), sometimes spelt as Constantinos Laifis, is a Cypriot footballer who plays for Belgian First Division A club Standard Liège, and for the Cyprus national team.
