Zuiderduin Masters
The Finder Darts Masters was a darts tournament held in Egmond aan Zee, Netherlands, sanctioned by the British Darts Organisation and the World Darts Federation, running intermittently under several different names from 1995 to 2018. The tournament was previously known as the Zuiderduin Masters from 2007 to 2014, as the Leendesk Masters in 2005, as the Doeland Grand Masters from 2001 to 2004, as the European Grand Masters in 2000, and as the Dutch Grand Masters in 1995 and 1996. It was held in December and was traditionally the last BDO event held before the annual World Championship. The tournament was an unranked event until 2008, when it was installed as a ranking event, along with the World Championships and the World Masters, following the cancellation of the World Darts Trophy and the International Darts League. Gary Robson (darts Player)
Gary "Big Robbo" Robson (born 19 June 1967) is an English professional darts player who plays in World Darts Federation events. Robson now resides in the small rural village of Rothbury, Northumberland. Career Robson qualified twice for the World Championships, but was beaten in the first round on each occasion. He made it for a third time in 2004, but found himself 2–0 down in sets against Steve Coote. However, Robson recovered and took the match to a sudden death deciding leg, which he won. Bobby George commented that "you won't see browner darts in this tournament than that match". Robson had another excellent performance in losing to 'Silverback' Tony O'Shea in the second round. Robson's biggest tournament win so far was at the World Darts Trophy in Utrecht, Netherlands. Ted Hankey
Edward Hankey (born 20 February 1968) is an English former professional darts player and convicted sex offender. Nicknamed "The Count", he won the BDO World Darts Championship in 2000, was runner-up in 2001, and won the title for a second time in 2009. He moved to the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tour in 2012, but suffered a stroke while playing Michael van Gerwen at the 2012 Grand Slam of Darts, and took three months away from the sport to recuperate. He lost his PDC tour card in 2014, when he was 94th in the world rankings, and returned to the BDO, where he failed to impress in the latter years of his playing career. In 2016, he made his last appearance in the BDO World Darts Championship, exiting after a 0–3 first-round defeat. Hankey struggled financially in his later career and was declared bankrupt in 2018. Darryl Fitton
Darryl Fitton (born 5 May 1962) is an English professional darts player. He is nicknamed The Dazzler and comes to the stage dancing to the Madness song " One Step Beyond" wearing sunglasses; one of the most popular walk-ons with the audience. Before embarking on a career in darts, Fitton worked as an undertaker. Darts career Fitton's first TV appearance was against Peter Manley in the 1997 PDC World Matchplay. However, he lost 8-6, and has not made another PDC appearance since. Fitton debuted in the BDO World Championship in 2003 as a qualifier, but lost 1-3 to fellow qualifier John Burton in the first round. Co Stompé
Jacobus Wilhelmus "Co" Stompé (born 10 September 1962) is a Dutch former professional darts player. He was nicknamed The Matchstick because of his almost bald head and very thin appearance, making him look like a matchstick. He was also one of very few professionals who played in longsleeved shirts. Darts career BDO For years, Stompé was considered the third best Dutch darts player behind Raymond van Barneveld and Roland Scholten. After reaching the semi-finals of the 2000 World Championship, he dropped back behind a younger emerging Dutch group of players. Yordi Meeuwisse
Yordi Meeuwisse (born 31 January 1988) is a Dutch professional darts player who plays for the Professional Darts Corporation events. Career BDO In 2013, Meeuwisse made his television debut at the Zuiderduin Masters. In his first group match he lost to Ross Montgomery 5–2. Meeuwisse booked an impressive win over Robbie Green 5–4 in the second game. However, it was not enough to come through the group stage. Yordi was also qualified for the Zuiderduin Masters of 2014. Remco van Eijden (born 12 September 1977) is a Dutch former darts player. Career Van Eijden previously played in the British Darts Organisation and he played in the 2008 BDO World Darts Championship, beating fellow Dutchman Mario Robbe in the first round, only to lost in the second round to third seed Scott Waites. In November 2008, van Eijden began playing on the PDC circuit, playing in the two PDPA Players Championships in the Netherlands, reaching the quarter finals in the second event. He then reached the third round of the PDC German Darts Championship. He then played in the 2009 PDC World Darts Championship having been offered and accepted an SBS6 wildcard. Jeffrey De Graaf
Jeffrey de Graaf (born 21 November 1990) is a Dutch darts player. He has played in six World Championships (four BDO and two PDC) but has lost in the first round each time. He moved from the BDO to the PDC in 2016. Career BDO In 2012, De Graaf began playing the international circuit and won the 2012 Isle of Man Open and 2012 Romanian Open. Scott Waites
Scott Waites (born 17 February 1977) is an English professional darts player who plays in tournaments of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). He is a two-time BDO World Darts Champion having won the 2013 tournament and 2016 tournament. He is also a former Winmau World Masters champion, WDF World Cup singles' champion, Zuiderduin Masters champion.
