2014 Wisconsin Badgers Football Team
The 2014 Wisconsin Badgers football team represented the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Badgers were led by second-year head coach Gary Andersen, were members of the new West Division of the Big Ten Conference, and played their home games at Camp Randall Stadium. They finished the season 11–3, 7–1 in Big Ten play to be champions of the West Division. As champions of the West Division, they played East Division champions 2014 Ohio State Buckeyes football team, Ohio State in the 2014 Big Ten Football Championship Game, Big Ten Championship Game where they lost 59–0. Gary Andersen
Gary Lee Andersen (born February 19, 1964) is an American football coach who was most recently head football coach at Utah State University. Andersen has also been the head football coach of Southern Utah (2003), Wisconsin (2013–2014), and Oregon State (2015–2017). He served three years as the defensive coordinator at Utah, where he coached the 2008 Utes team that went undefeated and beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl to finish the season ranked second in the nation. He is currently an analyst at BYU. Playing career Andersen began his football career playing at Cottonwood High School, where he lettered in football for two years. After high school, he played center at Ricks College (now Brigham Young University–Idaho) in Rexburg, Idaho, for two seasons. Rob Havenstein
Rob Havenstein (born May 13, 1992) is an American professional football offensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the St. Louis Rams in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft. He played college football for the Wisconsin Badgers. With the retirement of Aaron Donald in March 2024, Havenstein is now the last remaining Rams player from the franchise's time in St. Louis that is still with the team. The Doak Walker Award honors the top running back in college football in the United States. Established in 1990, it is named in honor of Doak Walker, a former running back who played for the SMU Mustangs from 1945 to 1949 and in the National Football League (NFL) for the Detroit Lions from 1950 to 1955. The Maxwell Award is presented annually to the college football player judged by a panel of sportscasters, sportswriters, and National Collegiate Athletic Association head coaches and the membership of the Maxwell Football Club to be the best all-around in the United States. Natrell Jamerson
Natrell Jamerson (born December 15, 1995) is an American professional football defensive back. He played college football at Wisconsin. Jamerson played wide receiver first with the Badgers before switching to cornerback and later safety. Rafael Gaglianone (born 26 December 1994) is a Brazilian gridiron football placekicker. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Gaglianone attended Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
