2014 Ulster Senior Club Football Championship
The 2014 Ulster Senior Club Football Championship was the 47th instalment of the annual competition organised by Ulster GAA. It is one of the four provincial competitions of the 2014–15 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. Derry's Ballinderry Shamrocks were the defending champions, but defeat to Slaughtneil in the county final meant they couldn't defend their title. Slaughtneil went on to win their first Ulster title, beating Tyrone champions Omagh St Enda's in the final. Teams The Ulster championship is contested by the winners of the nine county championships in the Irish province of Ulster. Flag Of Ulster
The flag of Ulster is a historic banner based on the coat of arms of Ulster, used to represent Ulster, one of the four provinces of Ireland. It consists of a red cross on a gold background with a red hand on a white shield in the centre. History The flag of Ulster came about when Walter de Burgh, 1st Earl of Ulster became Earl of Ulster in 1264. He merged the family arms (heraldry) of the ancient Anglo-Norman and Hiberno-Norman noble dynasty, the House of Burgh (which was a red cross on a yellow background) with that of the Red Hand of Ulster of the Irish over-kingdom of Ulaid, which the earldom encompassed. Ulster Senior Club Football Championship
The Ulster Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition played between the top clubs in Ulster GAA. The trophy awarded to the winners is the Seamus McFerran Cup ( ga, Corn Shéamuis Mhic Fearáin). The winners and the Connacht, Leinster, Munster and London champions compete in the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. St Gall's Gaelic Athletic Club is a sports club based in Belfast, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The Donegal County Board ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Coiste Dhún na nGall) or Donegal GAA is one of 32 county boards of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) in Ireland, and is responsible for the administration of Gaelic games in County Donegal.
