2014 Star Awards
Star Awards 20 (also SA20, Chinese: 红星大奖 20) was a double television award ceremony which was held in Singapore. It is part of the annual Star Awards organised by Mediacorp for the two free-to-air channels, Mediacorp Channels 8 and U. The twentieth installment of ''Star Awards'' was broadcast live on Channel 8, on 20 and 27 April 2014. The first ceremony was held at the Mediacorp TV Theatre while the second ceremony was held at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre. These ceremonies were also broadcast on 8 International and the second ceremony on Toggle, Astro AEC (SD) and Astro Quan Jia HD (HD). The ceremony celebrated its 20th year, hence the original title of Star Awards 2014 was renamed. ''The Dream Makers'' won nine awards, including Best Drama Serial, in one of the biggest number of nominations at the time with 21; they were tied with ''The Little Nyonya'' in 2009, which also had nine awards. I'm In Charge () is a 20-episode Chinese drama serial that is shown on weekdays at 9pm on MediaCorp Channel 8. It airs from 27 May to 21 June 2013. It stars Sheila Sim, Elvin Ng, Aloysius Pang, Carole Lin & Rayson Tan as the casts of the series. Plot This is a 20-episode drama-series about a youth who has to shoulder the responsibility of being the man of the house while his mother is hospitalised. Star Awards 2009 ( Chinese: 红星大奖 2009) was a television award ceremony held in Singapore. It was part of the annual Star Awards organised by MediaCorp for its Chinese language division ( Channel 8 and Channel U). The awards took place at 26 April 2009 starting at 7pm at MediaCorp Studios, followed by a post-show party airing on Channel U after the ceremony ended. The nominations were announced on 24 February 2009, and the popularity awards later on 27 March. As like previous years, most technical category awards were presented outside the ceremony. ''The Little Nyonya'' ( zh, c= ) is a 2008 drama serial on Singapore's free-to-air MediaCorp TV Channel 8. Star Awards 2015 (also SA2015, Chinese: 红星大奖2015) is a double television award ceremony which is held in Singapore. It is part of the annual Star Awards organised by Mediacorp for free-to-air channel Mediacorp Channel 8. SA2015 is broadcast live on Channel 8, on 19 April 2015 and 26 April 2015. This was the final ceremony to be held at Caldecott Hill before the campus was relocated to one-north at Stars Avenue in the subsequent year, henceforth the subtitles for the ceremony name itself. The ceremony saw the second season of ''The Joy Truck'' and ''The Journey'' trilogy, '' Tumultuous Times'', became the biggest winning variety and drama series respectively. Star Awards
Star Awards (Chinese: 红星大奖) are awards for artistic and technical merit where Mediacorp recognises entertainers under their employment for outstanding performances of the year. The awards are given annually in a ceremony. The various category winners are awarded a trophy, with initial designs featuring various star shapes. The star was subsequently removed and the trophy is designed as an S-shaped column, depicting the star. History The first Star Awards presentation was held on 26 February 1994, took place at the Caldecott Broadcast Centre, Mediacorp TV Theatre with an audience of about 500 people.
