Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan defeated Julien Benneteau and Édouard Roger-Vasselin in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–3) to win the doubles tennis title at the 2014 Shanghai Masters. They completed the ATP Tour Masters 1000#Career Golden Masters, career Golden Masters with the win. Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo were the defending champions, but lost in the quarterfinals to Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea. Robert "Bob" Charles Bryan (born April 29, 1978) is an American former professional tennis player. Widely regarded as one of the greatest doubles tennis players of all time, Bryan was ranked as the List of ATP number 1 ranked doubles tennis players, world No. 1 in men's doubles for 438 weeks (List of ATP number 1 ranked doubles tennis players#Weeks at No. 1, second-most of all time), and finished as the List of ATP number 1 ranked doubles tennis players, year-end No. 1 eight times. Juan Sebastián Cabal Valdés (; born 25 April 1986) is a Colombian former professional tennis player.
