2014 Puskás Cup
The 2014 Puskás Cup was the seventh edition of the Puskás Cup and took place between 18 April to 21 April in Felcsút, Hungary. Real Madrid C.F., Real Madrid were the defending champions. On 3 March 2014, it was announced that the final match of the 2014 Puskás Cup will be the opening match of the new Pancho Arena. György Szöllősi, communication director of the Ferenc Puskás Football Academy, announced that there will be 4,500 spectators at the final of the 2014 Puskás Cup. Budapest Honvéd Football Club (), commonly known as Budapest Honvéd or simply Honvéd, is a Hungarian sports club based in Kispest, Budapest, with the colours of red and black. Ángel María Villar
Ángel María Villar Llona (born 21 January 1950) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. After having represented Athletic Bilbao for one decade (appearing in more than 350 official matches and scoring 11 goals), he went on to serve as president of the Spanish Football Federation for almost 30 years. Pál Schmitt
Pál Schmitt (; born 1942) is a Hungarian Olympic fencer and politician who served as President of Hungary from 2010 until his resignation in 2012, following his academic misconduct controversy. Schmitt was a successful fencer in his youth, winning two gold medals at the Summer Olympics. Later, he served as an ambassador during the 1990s and was a Vice-President of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2010. After briefly serving as Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary in 2010, Schmitt was elected President of Hungary in a 263 to 59 vote in the National Assembly. Gyula Grosics
Gyula Grosics (; 4 February 1926 – 13 June 2014) was a Hungarian football goalkeeper who played 86 times for the Hungary national football team and was part of the "Golden Team" of the 1950s. Regarded as one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time, he was thought to be the first goalkeeper to play as the sweeper-keeper. Grosics was nicknamed "Black Panther" (), because he wore black clothing while playing. He won a gold medal in football at the 1952 Summer Olympics. Jenő Buzánszky
Jenő Buzánszky (4 May 1925 – 11 January 2015) was a Hungarian football player and coach. He played as a right back for Hungary and during the 1950s he was a member of the legendary squad known as the Golden Team. Other members of the team included Ferenc Puskás, Zoltán Czibor, Sándor Kocsis, József Bozsik and Nándor Hidegkuti. He was the only member of the team not to play for either Honvéd or MTK Hungária FC. After 274 league games he retired as a player and became a coach. In 1996, he became a deputy chairman of the Hungarian Football Federation. Buzánszky made his debut for Hungary on 12 November 1950 in a 1–1 draw with Bulgaria. The Golden Team (, ) refers to the Hungary national football team of the 1950s. It is associated with several notable matches, including the quarter-final (" Battle of Berne") against Brazil, semi-final (against Uruguay) and final of the 1954 FIFA World Cup (" The Miracle of Bern"). The team inflicted notable defeats on then-footballing world powers Uruguay, Soviet Union, England, Germany, Brazil and Italy before the 1956 Hungarian Revolution caused the breakup of the side. The Golden Team was also known by different nicknames, such as the "Mighty Magyars", the "Magical Magyars", and the "Magnificent Magyars". Paulo Sousa
Paulo Manuel Carvalho de Sousa (; born 30 August 1970) is a Portuguese football manager and former professional player who played as a defensive midfielder. He is the current manager of UAE Pro League club Shabab Al Ahli. Starting his career at Benfica, he also represented Sporting CP in his country, where he amassed Primeira Liga totals of 117 matches and three goals in five years. From there onwards, he competed mainly in Italy and Germany, winning the Champions League with Juventus and Borussia Dortmund and the Intercontinental Cup with the latter side.
