The 2014 Monterrey Open was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 6th edition of the Monterrey Open and an International tournament on the 2014 WTA Tour. It took place at the Club Sonoma in Monterrey, Mexico, from 31 March to 6 April. WTA International Tournaments
The WTA International tournaments was a category for tennis tournaments of the Women's Tennis Association from the 2009 WTA Tour until 2020, which replaced the previous Tier III and Tier IV categories. As of 2021 these events have been reclassified as WTA 250 tournaments. The winner of a WTA 250 tournament adds 250 points to her WTA ranking. For the 2025 WTA Tour, 2025 season, there were 20 WTA 250, all knock-out tournaments with a prize money for every event at $275,094. A wild card (also wildcard or wild-card and also known as an at-large berth or at-large bid) is an invitation to a tournament or a playoff berth awarded to a team or individual that does not qualify via an automatic bid. In some events, wildcards are chosen freely by the organizers. Other events have fixed rules. Tadeja Majerič
Tadeja Majerič (born 31 August 1990, in Maribor) is a former tennis player from Slovenia. Over her career, Majerič won nine singles and six doubles title on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour. On 25 November 2013, she reached her best singles ranking of world No. 111. On 28 January 2013, she peaked at No. 227 in the WTA doubles rankings. Career 2005–2012 Majerič made her debut on the ITF Women's Circuit in April 2005 as a qualifier at a $10k event in Makarska, Croatia. ''Luxemburger Wort'' (; ) is a German-language Luxembourgish daily newspaper. There is an English edition named the ''Luxembourg Times''. It is owned by Mediahuis Luxembourg. Mandy Minella
Mandy Minella (born 22 November 1985) is a Luxembourgish politician and former professional tennis player. Having made her debut on the WTA Tour in 2001, she peaked at No. 66 in the WTA singles rankings in September 2012, and No. 47 in doubles in April 2013. Minella won two doubles tournaments on the WTA Tour, as well as one singles title and three doubles events of WTA 125 tournaments. She also won 16 singles and ten doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. Dalila Jakupović (born 24 March 1991) is a Slovenian tennis player of Bosnian descent. Jakupović to date has won two doubles titles on the WTA Tour along with five WTA Challenger doubles titles.
