Persipas Pangkalpinang
Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Pangkalpinang Sekitar (simply known as Persipas) is an Indonesian football club based in Pangkalpinang, the capital of Bangka Belitung Islands. They currently compete in the Liga 3. Their best achievement was when in the 2014 Liga Nusantara Bangka Belitung zone, they managed to become champions as well as qualify for the regional round of the 2014 Liga Nusantara. However, in 2018 Liga 3 Bangka Belitung Islands zone, they failed to became champions and finished runners-up in a 3–2 loss to PS Basel. Liga 3 (English: ''League Three'') is the lowest tier in Indonesian football league system. Formed as Liga Nusantara in 2014, this league occupies the third tier and consists of 2 rounds: ''provincial qualification''—held in every provinces in Indonesia, and ''national round'', competed by provincial qualifiers (number varies between provinces). History The competition was established after Liga Indonesia Second Division and Liga Indonesia Third Division merged in 2014. The Bangka Belitung Islands ( id, Kepulauan Bangka Belitung) is a province of Indonesia. Situated off the southeastern coast of Sumatra, the province comprises two main landmasses— Bangka and Belitung—and numerous smaller islands. 2014 Liga Nusantara
The 2014 Liga Nusantara season is the first edition of Liga Nusantara after the Second Division and Third Division merged on 2014 season. After removal of Badan Liga Sepakbola Amatir Indonesia (BLAI) Liga Nusantara as amateur competition this season is managed by competition committee of Province Association for qualification round and managed by PSSI in national round. The competition starts on 4 May 2014 and finish in national final match by 14 December 2014. Persatu Tuban became the champion after beating Laga FC 2-1 in the final. Format Preliminary round held by the respective provincial associations. All clubs must play with a home away system, with a standard number of games that run every club must be at least 15 games per season. Regional round is divided into 6 regional: Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Bali-Nusa, Sulawesi-Maluku, Papua. Belitung ( Belitung Malay: ''Belitong'', formerly Billiton) is an island on the east coast of Sumatra, Indonesia in the Java Sea. It covers , and had a population of 309,097 at the 2020 Census. Administratively, it forms two regencies (Belitung Regency and East Belitung Regency) within the province of Bangka-Belitung Islands. The island is known for its pepper and for its tin.
