2014 Indonesian Film Festival
The 34th Indonesian Film Festival ceremony took place on 6 December 2014 at the Palembang Sport and Convention Center, Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia, to honor the achievement in Indonesian cinema of 2014. It was broadcast on Kompas TV and BeritaSatu and hosted by presenters Steny Agustaf and Indy Barends. Sports drama film '' Lights from the East: I Am Maluku'' won the Best Picture and Best Actor for Chicco Jerikho, making it the first Best Picture winner to win only one other Citra Award. Drama films ''Soekarno'' and ''Tabula Rasa'' received the most awards with four. Other winners included '' Killers'' and '' The Jungle School'' with two. Actor Slamet Rahardjo received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Winners and nominations The nominations were announced on 25 November 2014 at the Balairung Soesilo Soedarman, Jakarta. Palembang Sport And Convention Center
Palembang Sport and Convention Center or simply PSCC (formerly known as the Sport Hall) is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in the downtown of Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia, in one of the city's well-known business area, Centre Point. Established in 2011 for the 2011 Southeast Asian Games, it is praised for its modern and chic design, and its volleyball field is the best in the nation. History PSCC was built in 1971, and inaugurated by the President Soeharto. It was built for the National Scholar Games (or POMNAS in Indonesian) in the 80s. Later in October 2010, the government renovated the building massively for the 2011 Southeast Asian Games, as Palembang was chosen as the host city. In October 2011, the building was established with the new contemporary and modern design. The field and the facilities were also renovated nicely. Slamet Rahardjo
Slamet Rahardjo Djarot (born 21 January 1949) is an Indonesian actor, director, and screenwriter of Javanese- Bantenese descent. He is the elder brother of director, songwriter, and politician, Eros Djarot. Since his directorial debut in 1979 with ''Rembulan dan Matahari'', he has directed and/or written twelve films; one of which, '' Langitku, Rumahku'', was Indonesia's submission to the 63rd Academy Awards in 1991. Biography Rahardjo was born in Serang, West Java (now Banten), on 21 January 1949. He was the first of seven children born to Djarot Djojoprawiro, an air force officer, and Ennie Tanudiredja, a housewife interested in woodcarving. Lucky Kuswandi
Lucky Kuswandi (born 29 August 1980) is an Indonesian director and screenwriter. Career Kuswandi graduated from ArtCenter College of Design, Pasadena, United States. In 2006, he was selected to join the Berlinale Talent Campus program. Hanung Bramantyo
Setiawan Hanung Bramantyo (born 1 October 1975) is an Indonesian director known for his films ranging from teen romances to religious dramas. After becoming interested in theatre as a child, Bramantyo made his directorial debut with the 1998 short film ''Tlutur''.
