Sir Run Run Shaw (born Shao Renleng; 19 November 1907 – 7 January 2014), also known as Shao Yifu and Siu Yat-fu, was a Hong Kong businessman, filmmaker, and philanthropist. He was one of the foremost influential movie moguls in the East Asian and Hong Kong entertainment industry. He founded the Shaw Brothers Studio, one of the largest film production companies in Hong Kong, and TVB, the dominant television company in Hong Kong. Jimmy McGregor
Sir James David McGregor (30 January 1924 – 14 July 2014) was a Hong Kong colonial government official and a member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong for the Commercial (First) functional constituency from 1988 to 1995 and non-official member of the Executive Council of Hong Kong from 1995 to 1997. He was also the long-time director of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. Early life, civil service and business career McGregor was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on 30 January 1924 and was educated at the Dux Boy Aberhill H.G. School. He was the Chief Manager of the Bank of East Asia, his family business, and also unofficial member of the Executive and Legislative Councils of Hong Kong. Commercial Radio Hong Kong (CRHK, , also known as Hong Kong Commercial Broadcasting Company Limited, is one of the two commercial radio broadcasting companies in Hong Kong, alongside Metro Radio Hong Kong. CRHK offers a variety of radio programs, including news and weather reports, music, and cultural arts. History CRHK was founded by George Ho Cho-chi on 26 August 1959, after he inherited HK$50,000 from his father, Sir Robert Ho Tung. The 10-year franchise of Radio Rediffusion ended its radio operations in 1959. CRHK then joined Radio Rediffusion and Radio Television Hong Kong. Commercial Television (CTV; ) was the third free-to-air broadcast television station in Hong Kong. It first went on air in 1975, and ceased transmissions in 1978. George Ho Cho-chi, GBS, OBE, JP (3 November 1919 – 4 June 2014) was a Hong Kong media mogul. The fifth son of the influential businessman Robert Hotung, George Ho was the founder of the Commercial Radio Hong Kong and Commercial Television.
