Tremp Formation
The Tremp Formation (, ), alternatively described as Tremp Group (), is a geological Formation (geology), formation in the comarca Pallars Jussà, Lleida Province, Lleida, Spain. The formation is restricted to the Tremp-Graus Basin, Tremp or Tremp-Graus Basin (), a piggyback basin, piggyback foreland basin in the Catalonian Pre-Pyrenees. The formation dates to the Maastrichtian to Thanetian,Pujalte & Schmitz, 2005, p.82 thus the formation includes the Cretaceous-Paleogene boundary that has been well studied in the area, using paleomagnetism and carbon and oxygen isotopes. The formation comprises several lithologies, from sandstone, conglomerate (geology), conglomerates and shales to marls, siltstones, limestones and lignite and gypsum beds and ranges between in thickness. Caipirasuchus
''Caipirasuchus'' is an extinct genus of sphagesaurid notosuchians known from the Late Cretaceous of northern São Paulo State and western Minas Gerais State, southeastern Brazil. The type species, ''C. paulistanus'', was named in 2011. A second species, ''C. montealtensis'', was referred to ''Caipirasuchus'' in 2013 after having been named in 2008 as a species of '' Sphagesaurus''. A third species, ''C. stenognathus'', was described in 2014. A fourth species, ''C. mineirus'', was described in 2018. Baurusuchidae is a Gondwanan family of mesoeucrocodylians that lived during the Late Cretaceous. It is a group of terrestrial hypercarnivorous crocodilians from South America (Argentina and Brazil) and possibly Pakistan. Baurusuchidae has been, in accordance with the PhyloCode, officially defined as the least inclusive clade containing '' Cynodontosuchus rothi, Pissarrachampsa sera,'' and '' Baurusuchus pachecoi.'' The Adamantina Formation is a geological Formation (geology), formation in the Bauru Basin of western São Paulo (state), São Paulo state in southeastern Brazil. Aplestosuchus
''Aplestosuchus'' is an extinct genus of baurusuchid mesoeucrocodylian known from the Late Cretaceous Adamantina Formation of São Paulo, southern Brazil. It contains a single species, ''Aplestosuchus sordidus''. ''A. sordidus'' is represented by a single articulated and nearly complete skeleton, preserving the remains of an unidentified sphagesaurid crocodyliform in its abdominal cavity. The specimen represents direct evidence of predation between different taxa of crocodyliforms in the fossil record. Discovery ''Aplestosuchus'' is known solely from the holotype LPRP/USP 0229a, an articulated and nearly complete skeleton including the skull, housed at the Laboratório de Paleontologia, Universidade de São Paulo.
