2014 IRB Pacific Nations Cup
The 2014 IRB Pacific Nations Cup, was the ninth edition of the IRB Pacific Nations Cup, the annual Tier 2 Rugby union tournament. Unlike previous competitions, the tournament was divided into two conferences of three teams each, with no interconference matches. Samoa emerged as the winner of the Pacific Islands conference title ahead of Fiji and Tonga, while Japan took out the Asia/Pacific conference remaining undefeated ahead of United States and Canada. Format Each team played each other once in their respective conferences, with no interconference matches. Four points were awarded for a win, two points for a draw and one point for a bonus point; the bonus point being awarded should a team score four or more tries in a match, or for a loss by seven points or less. Ciaran Hearn
Ciaran Hearn (born December 30, 1985) is a Canadian rugby union player who currently plays for Old Glory DC of Major League Rugby (MLR). Hearn was part of the Canadian squad at the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand where he featured in two matches and in the second tier squad for the 2015 World Cup Team. He is also a member of the Canadian 7 A-side men's Teams He made the move to professional rugby when he signed with then Aviva Premiership side London Irish on November 2, 2015. On 10 February 2016 he signed a contract extension which would see him stay at the English club until the end of the 2016-17 season. Nickalas Leslie Blevins (born 11 November 1988 in Edmonton, Alberta) is a rugby union centre who plays for Prairie Wolf Pack and Canada. Jeff Hassler
Jeff Hassler (born 21 August 1991) is a Canadian rugby union player. He plays at wing and occasionally at the centre position for the Seattle Seawolves in Major League Rugby (MLR), and Rugby Canada's National 15s. He has 36 caps for the National squad in all contests, and former member of the Neath-Swansea, Ospreys. Hassler is an Alberta native having attended Holy Trinity Academy in the southern foothill town of Okotoks. As a youth he excelled at all sports but in particular Canadian football and Rugby. Yoshikazu Fujita (藤田 慶和, born 8 September 1993 in Kyoto) is a Japanese international rugby union player. After impressing the coaches with his form playing for the Japan sevens team, Fujita was selected for the Japan national rugby union team and became the youngest ever player to play for Japan when he took the field against the UAE in May 2012 at the age of 18 years and 210 days in his hometown of Fukuoka.
