2014 IK Start Season
The 2014 season is Start's 2nd season in the Tippeligaen since their promotion back to the league in 2012, and their fourth season with Mons Ivar Mjelde as manager. Start competed in the Tippeligaen and, finishing 12th, and the Norwegian Cup, where they were knocked out at the Fourth Round by Sarpsborg 08. IK Start
Idrettsklubben Start (or simply IK Start, translates to The sports club Start ) is a Norwegian football club from the city of Kristiansand that currently plays in the 1. divisjon, the second tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club was founded on 19 September 1905. The club's current head coach is Sindre Tjelmeland. The team plays in yellow jerseys, black shorts and socks at home, and black jerseys, yellow shorts and socks away. They play their home matches at Sør Arena, the club's own football stadium, opened in 2007. Before moving to Sør Arena, IK Start played their games at Kristiansand Stadion. The team's official supporter club was called "Tigerberget", until 2017, when the IK Start board decided to no longer have an official supporter club. Seyi George Olofinjana (born 30 June 1980) is a Nigerian former footballer who played as a midfielder. Olofinjana began his career with local sides Crown and Kwara United before moving to Europe with Norwegian side SK Brann. After two seasons at Brann he moved to English club Wolverhampton Wanderers. He became a regular at Molineux making 213 appearances for the club over four seasons before joining Premier League club Stoke City in August 2008 for a fee of £3 million. Lars-Jørgen Salvesen (born 19 February 1996) is a Norwegian football striker who plays for Viking FK. Career He started his career in FK Vigør, and played for the senior team in the 2013 Norwegian Third Division before joining IK Start. Pål Vestly Heigre
Pål Vestly Heigre (born 15 March 1995) is a Norwegian football goalkeeper. Career He started his career for Sandnes minnows Hana IL. In 2010, at the age of 15, he made his debut for the senior team. Ahead of the 2011 season he joined the youth system of Viking FK, albeit with a short loan period at Hana. He made his friendly match debut for Viking in the winter of 2012. In August 2014 he went on loan to IK Start. For them he made his Norwegian Premier League debut in November 2014 against Vålerenga. In the spring of 2015 he was loaned out to Tromsø IL. After the 2020 season he released from Sandnes Ulf. Kristoffer Vassbakk Ajer (born 17 April 1998) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays for Premier League club Brentford and the Norway national team. Ajer has previously played for Start in the Tippeligaen and Celtic in the Scottish Premiership, where he also had a loan spell with Kilmarnock. Zlatko Tripić (born 2 December 1992) is a Norwegian-Bosnian footballer who plays as a winger for Viking FK. Club career Tripić was born in Rijeka, Croatia to Bosnian parents.
