2014 GCC Champions League
The GCC Champions League ( ar, دوري أبطال الخليج للأندية), is an annually organized football league tournament for club of the Arabian peninsula. The 2014 edition is the 29th edition and is officially known as the Pharmaton 29th GCC Club Cup Championship due to sponsorship reasons. The competition kicked off on 3 February 2014 making it change to being played in one calendar year which was the usual format until changed for the last edition. Groups Four groups of three teams. Top two from each group qualify for the one legged quarter finals with group winners hosting the matches. Asian Football Confederation
The Asian Football Confederation is the governing body of association football, beach soccer, and futsal in some countries/territories in Asia and Oceania. It has 47 member countries most of which are located in Asia. Australia, formerly in OFC, joined AFC in 2006. Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, both territories of the United States, are also AFC members that are geographically in Oceania. The Asian Ladies Football Confederation (ALFC) was the section of AFC who managed women's association football in Asia. The group was independently founded in April 1968 in a meeting involving Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. In 1986 ALFC merged with AFC. Al-Nahda Club (Oman)
Al-Nahda Club (; also known locally as ''Al-Aneed'', or "The Tenacious", or just plainly as Al-Nahda) is an Omani sports club based in Al-Buraimi, Oman. The club is currently playing in the Oman Professional League, top division of Oman Football Association. Their home ground is Al-Buraimi Sports Complex. The stadium is government owned, but they also own their own personal stadium and sports equipment, as well as their own training facilities. History The club was founded in 2003. Buraidah
Buraidah ( ar, بريدة ') is the capital and largest city of Al-Qassim Region in north-central Saudi Arabia in the heart of the Arabian Peninsula. King Abdullah Sport City Stadium
The King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, previously known as the Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Stadium, is a football stadium in Buraidah, Saudi Arabia. It is used mainly for association football, football and hosts the home matches of Al Taawon and Al-Raed of the Saudi Professional League. The stadium has a seating capacity of 25,000 spectators. The first official match played at the stadium was on 24 December 1982 between Al-Taawoun FC, Al-Taawoun and Al-Tai FC, Al-Tai in the 2nd week of the 1982–83 Saudi First Division. The match ended in a 1–1 draw, the first official goal scored in the stadium was an own goal by one of Al-Tai's defenders. The match saw an attendance of 10,000 people. Mohamed Al-Zeno ( ar, محمد زينو; born 5 February 1983) is a Syrian professional footballer who plays for Taliya in the Syrian Premier League. Club career Early career Mohamed Al-Zeno's career began with the Al-Ittihad Aleppo youth squad under coach Omar Al-Shaaban in the "Al-Smoud Football School" in Aleppo. The Sultan Qaboos Stadium at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex ( ar, مجمع السلطان قابوس الرياضي), also known locally as Boshar ( ar, بوشر), is a government-owned multi-purpose stadium in the Boshar district of Muscat, Oman.
