2014 Erie Explosion Season
The 2014 Erie Explosion season is the eighth season for the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) franchise. In June 2013, the Explosion agreed to terms with the CIFL to return for the 2014 season. The Explosion earned an 8–2 record during the 2014 regular season and won their second consecutive CIFL championship. It would be the league's last championship; the CIFL dissolved after the 2014 season. The Explosion will continue. Shawn Liotta
Shawn Liotta (born July 11, 1980) is currently the Head Football Coach at Fan Controlled Sports and Entertainment and is the author of the book "No Huddle No Mercy" which details his record setting offensive system that has been used by football programs around the world. Since 2018 Liotta has served as the Head Football Coach at Burrell High School Liotta is also currently serving as the Director of Coaching for Fan Controlled Football, a professional football league launching in 2021. Liotta has also served as an offensive coordinator in the USA Football, US National Team Program, leading the US Under 18 National Team to a win over Canada in the 2020 International Bowl. Liotta was previously an indoor football head coach who most recently coached the Erie Explosion. Detroit Thunder
The Detroit Thunder was a professional indoor football team based in Fraser, Michigan. The team was a member of the Continental Indoor Football League. The Thunder were the third indoor football team to have called the Motor City home, following two Arena Football League teams: the four-time ArenaBowl champion Detroit Drive ( 1988–1993) and the Detroit Fury (2001–2004). The AllStarInc Panthers were a professional indoor football team based in Reading, Pennsylvania. They were members of American Indoor Football (AIF) for the 2015 season. The Panthers played their home games at Santander Arena in Reading. 2014 Detroit Thunder Season
The 2014 Detroit Thunder season is the second season for the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) franchise. In June 2013, the Thunder agreed to terms with the CIFL to return for the 2014 season. The team was originally supposed to play the season at Fraser Hockeyland but was unable to secure turf for the arena, forcing the team to move to the Perani Arena and Event Center in Flint, Michigan for the only home game the Thunder would play that season. The team attempted to return to Fraser Hockeyland for the rest of the season but ceased operations after being forced to forfeit a game against the eventual champion Erie Explosion because of continuing turf problems at the arena. McMorran Arena
McMorran Arena is an entertainment complex in Port Huron, Michigan consisting of a 4,800-seat multi-purpose arena and a theater. It was designed by Alden B.
