2014 Dubai Tour
The 2014 Dubai Tour was the first running of the Dubai Tour, organised by RCS Sport and the Dubai Sports Council. It was rated a 2.1 event in the UCI Asia Tour and took place between 5 February and 8 February 2014. The race consisted of four stages: an individual time trial followed by three stages suited for sprinters. Taylor Phinney won the time trial and the overall title; Marcel Kittel won the other three stages and the points jersey. The UCI Continental Circuits are a series of road bicycle racing Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on Road surface, paved roads. Dylan Van Baarle
Dylan van Baarle (born 21 May 1992) is a Dutch professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Biography Born in Voorburg, van Baarle resides in Veenendaal, Netherlands. Van Baarle is the son of former road- and trackcyclist, Mario van Baarle, and Renate Greupink-de Haas. Following a three-year stint with the , van Baarle signed with , for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. In 2014, van Baarle won the Tour of Britain; he gained the yellow jersey on the seventh stage, and successfully defended the jersey on the eighth and final stage. Peter Velits
Peter Velits (born 21 February 1985 in Bratislava) is a Slovakian former professional road racing cyclist. His career highlights included third place overall and a stage win at the 2010 Vuelta a España, the 2007 World Under-23 Road Race Championships gold and the 2012 Tour of Oman overall victory. Velits was also known as strong time-trialist, winning three consecutive team time trials as a part of in 2012 and 2013 and riding on the in 2014 UCI Road World Championships. His twin brother, Martin Velits also competed professionally, having raced on the same teams every year until the end of the 2013 season. Adriano Malori (born 28 January 1988) is an Italian former road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2010 and 2017 for the and squads. Career Malori was the ''lanterne rouge'' of the 2010 Tour de France, finishing almost four and a half hours behind winner Andy Schleck (). Having ridden for the squad since August 2009, Malori left the team at the end of the 2013 season to join the . He won the final time trial of the 2014 Vuelta a España. On 23 January 2016, at the Tour de San Luis, Malori suffered a severe crash as he was leading the peloton. Tony Hans-Joachim Martin (born 23 April 1985) is a German former professional road bicycle racer. Martin was known as a time trial specialist, and is a four-time world champion in the discipline – having won the title in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2016 – which is joint-most with Fabian Cancellara.
