Lieutenant Governor Of Delaware
The lieutenant governor of Delaware is the second ranking executive officer of the U.S. state of Delaware. Lieutenant governors are elected for a term of four years in the same general election as the U.S. president and take office the following January. As in many other U.S. State legislature (United States), state legislatures, the lieutenant governor also serves as the President of the Delaware Senate, though they can only cast a vote in the event of a tie. The Office of Lieutenant Governor was created by the Constitution of Delaware, and the first election took place in 1900. He formerly served as United States Attorney for the District of Delaware. Biography and career Connolly was born on October 18, 1964, in Wilmington, Delaware. New Castle County

The 2016 Delaware gubernatorial election took place on November 8, 2016, to elect the governor of Delaware, concurrently with the 2016 U.S. presidential election, as well as elections to the United States Senate in other states and elections to the United States House of Representatives and various state and local elections. Matthew P. Denn (born February 9, 1966) is an American lawyer and politician from New Castle County, Delaware. He served as the 45th attorney general of Delaware from 2015 until 2019. Denn previously served as the 25th lieutenant governor of Delaware from 2009 to 2015, and was the Insurance Commissioner of Delaware from 2005 to 2009.
