The 2014 Aegon Classic was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor grass courts. It was the 33rd edition of the event, and the first edition of the event as a Premier tournament on the 2014 WTA Tour. The 2014 WTA Premier tournaments are 21 of the tennis tournaments on the 2014 WTA Tour. The WTA Tour is the elite tour for women's professional tennis. Daniela Hantuchová (; born 23 April 1983) is a Slovak tennis commentator and retired player. She turned professional in 1999 and had her breakthrough year in 2002, when she won her first WTA Tour title at the Indian Wells Open, defeating Martina Hingis in the final and becoming the lowest-ranked player to ever win the tournament. Monica Puig Marchán (born September 27, 1993) is a Puerto Rican former professional tennis player. She is the first Puerto Rican in history to win a gold medal at the Olympics while representing Puerto Rico, having done so in 2016 at the women's singles event.
