Regional Council Of Abruzzo
The Regional Council of Abruzzo (''Consiglio Regionale dell'Abruzzo'') is the legislative assembly of Abruzzo. It was first elected in 1970, when the ordinary regions were instituted, on the basis of the Constitution of Italy of 1948. Composition The Regional Council of Abruzzo was originally composed of 40 regional councillors. The number of regional councillors increased to 43 in the 2000 regional election and, subsequently, to 45 in the 2008 regional election. Following the decree-law n. 138 of 13 August 2011 the number of regional councillors was reduced to 30, with an additional seat reserved for the President of the Region. Democratic Centre ( it, Centro Democratico, CD) is a centrist, Christian leftist and social-liberal political party in Italy. Most of its members, including its leader Bruno Tabacci, are former Christian Democrats. Since its beginnings, the CD has been also part of the centre-left coalition, centred around the Democratic Party (PD). The CD, along with the Italian Radicals and Forza Europa, was a founding member of More Europe (+E), a liberal party. The Other Europe ( it, L'Altra Europa), whose full name was The Other Europe with Tsipras (''L'Altra Europa con Tsipras'', AET), was a left-wing political organisation in Italy. It took part in the 2014 European Parliament election in support of Alexis Tsipras, the candidate of the Party of the European Left for President of the European Commission. Maurizio Acerbo (born 4 December 1965 in Pescara), is an Italian politician and the current Secretary of the Communist Refoundation Party. In 1984 he was elected provincial secretary of FGCI (Youth Communist Italian Federation) in Pescara. He was elected for the first time in 1985 as a counselor in the Zanni district of Pescara and later a city councilor in the same city in 1990. In 1996 he was the founder and radio director of Radio Città Pescara - Popolare Network. He was also regional secretary of the Communist Refoundation of Abruzzo until 2006. The Five Star Movement ( it, Movimento 5 Stelle , M5S) is a political party in Italy. Its leader and president is Giuseppe Conte, Prime Minister of Italy from 2018 until 2021. The M5S was founded on 4 October 2009 by Beppe Grillo, a comedian and blogger, and Gianroberto Casaleggio, a web strategist.
