The 2013–14 Ugandan Super League is the 47th season of the official Ugandan football championship, the top-level football league of Uganda. Overview The 2013–14 FUFA Super League was being contested by 16 teams, including Bright Stars FC, CRO FC and Soana FC who were promoted from the Ugandan Big League at the end of the 2013/13 season. Ugandan Super League
The Ugandan Premier League, also known as the StarTimes Uganda Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is the top division of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations. The league was previously known as the Uganda Super League but changed in the 2014–15 season after new management taking over. The league's roots date back to 1968 when the National First Division League was established. National Stadium (Uganda)
The Mandela National Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Uganda. It is named after the former South African President and anti-apartheid icon, Nelson Mandela. The stadium's record attendance of 50,000 was set in 2004, in a football match between the national football teams of Uganda and South Africa. Location The stadium is located on Namboole Hill in Kira Municipality, Wakiso District. The stadium is approximately , by road, east of the central business district of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city. Victoria University SC
Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) is a Ugandan football club, based in Kampala. They play their home games at the Mandela National Stadium. History SCVU was formed on 19 August 2011, and played in the Uganda Big League, winning the play-off final 4–0 against Aurum Roses to gain promotion to the Uganda Premier League. First Head Coach in history of SC Victoria University was Serbian tactician Ivan Zoric. Following the promotion of Sports Club Victoria University (SCVU) to the Uganda Super League in 2012, SCVU finished fifth in the 2012–13 season and won its first major trophy, the Uganda Cup in 2013. Uganda Revenue Authority SC
Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (abbreviated as URA FC) is a Ugandan football team based in the national capital Kampala. The club plays in the Ugandan Premier League and was founded in 1997. They have won the Ugandan Premier League four times and the Uganda Cup three times. On the continent, URA FC has represented Uganda seven times, six times in the CAF champions league and once in the CAF confederation Cup. History URA merged with Lyantonde FC in 2002. Bombo, Uganda
Bombo is a town in Luweero District in the Central Region, Uganda, Central Region of Uganda. History Many officers and soldiers of the Uganda Army (1971–1980), Uganda Army (UA) settled in Bombo upon their retirement during the Second Republic of Uganda (1971–79). Buikwe, sometimes spelled Buyikwe, is a town in Buikwe District, Uganda. It is the administrative center of the district and the location of the district headquarters. Police FC (Uganda)
Police FC is a football club from Kampala in Uganda. It was formed in 1965 with a mission, ''"To be a football club that upholds community values and promote carrier development as community policing tool to avert criminality in the society"''. History They won their first Ugandan league title in 2005 and the CECAFA Clubs Cup in 2006. Police was spurred on in the early years by Dennis Obua as a player and later as coach. During Obua's years, he managed to stage youthful players who have blossomed into really great talent. When Obua became the Federation of Uganda Football Association president, he hired Steven Mulinde to step in his shoes. Masaka
Masaka is a city in the Central Region, Uganda, Buganda Region in Uganda, west of Lake Victoria. The city is the headquarters of Masaka District. Lugogo Stadium
Lugogo Stadium, also known as Lugogo Cricket Oval, is a cricket ground in Kampala, Uganda. The first recorded match held on the ground came in 1957 when Kenya Asians played Sunder Cricket Club. It has also gained popularity as a music concert venue in Uganda. In that same year Uganda first used the ground when the national team played the Sunder Cricket Club. The ground held its inaugural first-class match when an East African Invitation XI played the touring Marylebone Cricket Club in 1963. A further first-class match followed in 1967 when a combined East Africa team played the touring Indians. The next first-class matches to be held on the ground didn't come until 2005, when Uganda played two matches there in the Intercontinental Cup against Kenya and Namibia.
