2013–14 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy
The 2013–14 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy was one of two first-class domestic cricket competitions that were held in Pakistan during the 2013–14 season. It was the 56th edition of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, and was contested by fourteen teams representing regional cricket associations. It ran concurrently with the President's Trophy, which was contested by ten departmental teams. Rawalpindi won the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy for the first time defeating Islamabad in the final. Format The format of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy remained unchanged from the previous season, with the fourteen regional teams divided into two groups. After a series of round-robin matches, the top four teams from each group proceeded to the Super-Eight stage of the competition, with the remaining six teams entering the "bottom six stage". Junaid Nadir
The Islamabad cricket team was a first-class cricket team based in Islamabad, Pakistan. Its home ground was the Diamond Club Ground. It participates in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy. For Twenty20 and List A cricket the team is known as the Islamabad Leopards and participates in the National T20 Cup and National One-day Championship. Islamabad was scheduled to play its first two first-class matches in the 1986–87 season in the BCCP President's Cup, but it conceded them without playing. It eventually made its first-class debut in 1992–93 in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy, in which it has competed ever since, except for the 2002–03, 2003–04 and 2004–05 seasons. Awais Zia
Awais Zia (; born 1 September 1986) is a Pakistani cricketer. He is primarily a left handed batsman and right arm off spin bowler. Domestic and franchise career As a youngster, Zia got introduced to the game playing street cricket in his village of Bhaun, before playing club cricket in Chakwal. Zia was encouraged to attend local trials, where he came to the attention of Jhelum coaches, who offered him a place in the Jhelum team. He accepted their offer and started playing for Jhelum district and then Grade 2 cricket, before finally getting his chance in first-class cricket for the Rawalpindi cricket team in 2007. He has played 35 first-class and 19 list-A matches. Karachi Cricket Team
Karachi cricket teams have competed in the Pakistani first-class cricket tournaments the President's Trophy Grade-I, Patron's Trophy and Quaid-e-Azam Trophy from 1953–54 to 2018–19, and from 2023 to 2024. Lahore cricket teams, representing the city of Lahore, have competed in Pakistan's first-class cricket tournaments from 1958–59 to 2018–19, and from 2023 to 2024. Bahawalpur cricket team was a first-class cricket side in Pakistan, representing the city of Bahawalpur. It won the inaugural season of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy in 1953–54, under the captaincy of Khan Mohammad. Quetta is a first-class cricket team based in Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan. Quetta has participated in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy irregularly since 1957–58. For Twenty20 and List A cricket they are sometimes known as the Quetta Bears and have participated in the Faysal Bank T20 Cup and National One-day Championship.
