2013–14 Central Coast Mariners FC Season
The 2013–14 Central Coast Mariners FC season was the club's ninth season since its establishment in 2004, and included the 2013–14 A-League season as well as the 2014 AFC Champions League. After their second placing in the A-League Premiership behind debutantes Western Sydney Wanderers followed by their maiden Championship (also against the Wanderers), the Mariners finished their previous season in the Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League – their best ever result in the continental competition, including their first win away in Asia against K-League side Suwon Bluewings. Central Coast Mariners FC
Central Coast Mariners Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Gosford, on the Central Coast of New South Wales. It competes in the A-League Men, under licence from the Australian Professional Leagues (APL). The Mariners were founded in 2004 and are one of the eight original A-League teams. It is the first professional sports club from the Gosford region to compete in a national competition. Patrick Zwaanswijk
Patrick Zwaanswijk (born 17 January 1975) is a Dutch ex-professional who is retired from professional football. A product of the Ajax Youth Academy, Zwaanswijk retired from professional football in 2013 following a successful career with Ajax FC, FC Utrecht, Oita Trinita, NAC Breda and Central Coast Mariners FC. He has played predominantly as a central defender throughout his career. After his career he played for and captained Southern & Ettalong United in Australia's Central Coast Premier League and Terrigal United. Matt Simon (footballer)
Matthew Blake Simon (born 22 January 1986) is a retired Australian international football (soccer) player who played as a striker. Simon attended St Edward's College, East Gosford, where he was influenced to play soccer. Simon started his senior career with Central Coast Lightning before joining Central Coast Mariners in 2006. In 2012, Simon signed with K-League club Chunnam Dragons, however, his opportunities at the club were limited by persistent injuries. In 2013, Simon rejoined the Mariners. He moved to Sydney FC after being released by the Mariners in 2015, before again returning to the Mariners in 2018. Andrew Charles Clark (born 24 August 1974) is an Australian former soccer player, who played as a defender. As a player, had stints in the Australian National Soccer League (NSL) and A-League, most notably for Canberra Cosmos, Parramatta Power and the Central Coast Mariners.
