2013 U.S. F2000 Winterfest
The 2013 U.S. F2000 Cooper Tires Winterfest was the third year of the winter racing series promoted by the U.S. F2000 National Championship. It consisted of six races held during two race meets in Florida during February 2013 and served as preparation for the 2013 U.S. F2000 National Championship. American Neil Alberico, in his second year in the series and first with Cape Motorsports w/ Wayne Taylor Racing won five of the six races and captured the championship. His Cape teammate, Canadian Scott Hargrove, won one race and finished second in the other five and was runner-up in the championship. Their teammate James Fletcher had three podium finishes and finished third in points. Canadian James Dayson was the only National class entrant and only contested the first three rounds of the championship. Wyatt Gooden
Wyatt Gooden (born October 10, 1988 in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American racing driver who most notably competed in the 2013 U.S. F2000 National Championship with Afterburner Autosport. In 2009 he became the first person in the United States to earn a manufacturer funded ride in a professional auto racing series by winning the ''iRacing TDI Cup Virtual Series'' in iRacing.com. 2010 Through a $45,000 scholarship earned by winning the 2009 iRacing.com VW Jetta TDI Cup from Volkswagen of America, Wyatt competed in the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup. Afterburner Autosport
An afterburner (or reheat in British English) is an additional combustion component used on some jet engines, mostly those on military supersonic aircraft. Its purpose is to increase thrust, usually for supersonic flight, takeoff, and combat. The afterburning process injects additional fuel into a combustor in the jet pipe behind (''i.e.'', "after") the turbine, "reheating" the exhaust gas. Afterburning significantly increases thrust as an alternative to using a bigger engine with its attendant weight penalty, but at the cost of increased fuel consumption (decreased fuel efficiency) which limits its use to short periods.
