2013 Thai Division 2 League Southern Region
2013 Regional League Division 2 Southern Region is the 5th season of the League competition since its establishment in 2009. It is in the third tier of the Thai football league system. Changes from last season Team changes Promoted clubs No club was promoted to the Thai Division 1 League. Last years league champions Trang and runners up Pattani failed to qualify from the 2012 Regional League Division 2 championship pool. Relegated clubs Phattalung, Songkhla were relegated from the 2012 Thai Division 1 League. Regional League South Division
Regional League South Division is the 3rd Level League in Thailand. It was formed in 2009 along with other four other regional leagues, all playing at the same level. The winner of each regional league enter the Regional League Championships to determine the three teams that will receive promotion to the Thai Division 1 League League History Formed in 2009, initially 9 clubs applied to be part of the new setup; Krabi, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Narathiwat, Pattani, Phattalung, Phuket, Satun, Yala and Tartauo. Come decision day, Tartauo either failed to apply on time, or were not accepted into the new setup. Narathiwat and Satun were the only two teams with previous experience in the Thai football league system. Narathiwat won the first ever championship and took the Regional League championship allocation, winning the division on goal difference from Satun. The 2010 season saw the arrival of six new teams. Narathiwat Municipal Stadium
Narathiwat ( th, นราธิวาส, ) is a town (thesaban mueang) in southern Thailand and capital of Narathiwat Province. The town is in the Mueang Narathiwat District and was established in 1936. As of 2008, the population was 40,521. It lies 1,141 km south of Bangkok. Geography Narathiwat is on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula, by the Gulf of Thailand. Nakhon Si Thammarat Municipality ( th, เทศบาลนครนครศรีธรรมราช, ; from Pali ''Nagara Sri Dhammaraja'') is a municipality (''thesaban nakhon'') in Southern Thailand, capital of Nakhon Si Thammarat province and Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat district.
