2013 Spengler Cup
The 2013 Spengler Cup was held in Davos, Switzerland from December 26 to December 31, 2013. All matches were played at HC Davos's home known as Vaillant Arena. Six competing teams were split into two groups of three. The two groups, named Torriani and Cattini, were named after legendary Swiss hockey players Bibi Torriani, Richard 'Bibi' Torriani and the Cattini brothers, Hans Cattini, Hans and Ferdinand Cattini, Ferdinand. Alexandre Picard (ice Hockey)
Alexandre Picard (born October 9, 1985) is a Canadian professional ice hockey winger who is currently playing for HK Hradec Kralove in the Czech Republic. He was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets with the eighth overall pick of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, but only appeared in 67 career NHL games. Picard is widely regarded as a draft bust. Playing career As a youth, Picard played in the 1999 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Quebec City. Cody Almond (born July 24, 1989) is a Canadian-born Swiss professional ice hockey centre for Lausanne HC of the National League (NL). He has formerly played for the Minnesota Wild in the National Hockey League (NHL). Inti Pestoni (born August 8, 1991) is a Swiss professional ice hockey winger who is currently playing with HC Ambrì-Piotta of the National League (NL). Playing career Brought up as a youth within the Ambri-Piotta club, Pestoni was re-signed to a further two-year contract extension on February 27, 2012, to remain under contract with Ambri until 2016. Short Handed
Short-handed is a term used in ice hockey and several related sports, including water polo, and refers to having fewer skaters (players) on the ice during play, as a result of a penalty. The player removed from play serves the penalty in the penalty box for a set amount of time proportional to the severity of the infraction. If a goaltender commits a minor infraction, another player who was on the ice at the time of the penalty serves, often but not necessarily the team captain.
