The 2013 STP 400 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race that was held on April 21, 2013, at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, United States. Contested over 267 laps on the 1.5–mile (2.4 km) tri-oval, it was the eighth race of the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, 2013 Sprint Cup Series championship. Matt Kenseth of Joe Gibbs Racing won the race, his second win of the 2013 season and second straight at Kansas Speedway, while Kasey Kahne finished second. The AdventHealth 400 is a NASCAR Cup Series race held at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas. Kansas received a second date beginning in 2011 part of a NASCAR NASCAR Realignment#2011, schedule realignment; with the other one being the Hollywood Casino 400, the thirty-second race of the season. Kyle Larson is the defending winner. History The inaugural STP 400 was held on June 5, 2011. Like the fall race at Kansas, the distance of the race was 400.5 miles (644.542 km). Brad Keselowski won the inaugural running of the race ahead of Dale Earnhardt Jr. after saving fuel. Unlike 2011, the 2012 race was moved to April 22, 2012, to allow more time for the Kansas Speedway to complete the track's reconfiguration. During the 2012 STP 400, A. J. Kansas Speedway (formerly known as Kansas International Speedway in initial planning and construction stages) is a tri-oval Oval track racing#Intermediate, intermediate speedway in Kansas City, Kansas. The track, since its inaugural season of racing in 2001, has hosted a variety of racing series, including NASCAR, IndyCar, and the IMSA SportsCar Championship.
