2013 Rutgers Scarlet Knights Football Team
The 2013 Rutgers Scarlet Knights football team represented Rutgers University in the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Scarlet Knights played their home games at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway, NJ as a member of the American Athletic Conference. This was the second season with Kyle Flood as the head coach, and last season before transitioning to playing in the Big Ten Conference. They finished the season 6–7, 3–5 in American Athletic play to finish in a tie for sixth place. They were invited to the Pinstripe Bowl where they were defeated by Notre Dame. Notre Dame would later vacate the win on November 22, 2016 due to academic violations. Kyle Flood
Kyle J. Flood (born January 20, 1971) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the Texas Longhorns football team. He is also the former head football coach of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Flood was named the 29th head football coach of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights football team after Greg Schiano accepted the National Football League head coaching position for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is the first Rutgers football head coach to be promoted from assistant since the 1973 season. David Brock (born June 5, 1967) is an American football coach. He previously was the head coach of University of Delaware Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens from 2013 to 2016. Darrell Wilson (born July 28, 1958) is an American football coach and former player. He played college football for Connecticut and professionally for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL) and the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL) as a defensive back. Darnell Joseph Dinkins (born January 20, 1977) is an American former professional football player who was a tight end in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Pittsburgh Panthers. Dinkins played in the NFL for the New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, and New Orleans Saints.
