2013 Philadelphia Soul Season
The Philadelphia Soul season was the eighth season for the franchise in the Arena Football League. The team was coached by Clint Dolezel and played their home games at the Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia), Wells Fargo Center. The Soul captured another division championship, and went on to reach the ArenaBowl for the second consecutive season. However, they were once again defeated by the Arizona Rattlers in ArenaBowl XXVI by a 48–39 score. Final roster Standings Schedule Regular season The Soul began the season on the road against the Arizona Rattlers on March 23, in a rematch of ArenaBowl XXV. Their first home game was on April 20 when they faced the Cleveland Gladiators. They closed the regular season on July 27, on the road against the San Antonio Talons. Clint Dolezel
Clint Dolezel (born March 25, 1970) is an American American football, football coach and former quarterback in the Arena Football League (AFL). He currently serves as the head football coach at East Texas A&M University. Dolezel played as a quarterback in the AFL before becoming the head coach of the Philadelphia Soul from 2013 until the league folded in 2019. He played college football for the East Texas A&M University, East Texas State Lions, and was in the AFL for 13 seasons from 1995 to 2008. Dolezel first became a head coach in 2010 with the San Angelo Stampede Express of the Indoor Football League (IFL). After just a single season, Dolezel returned to the AFL as the head coach of the Dallas Vigilantes. D'Andrae Carnell Thurman (born October 25, 1980) is an American former professional football wide receiver. He was signed by the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2004. He played college football at Southern Oregon University. David Michael Richardson (born September 9, 1981) is a former American football cornerback. College career Richardson attended Cal Poly out of St. Bernard High School, and was a letterman in football. As a Mustang senior, he won AFCA All-America honors, and started all of the team's 11 games and recorded five interceptions returned for 105 yards and two touchdowns, plus 50 tackles, seven pass deflections and a sack. As a junior, he garnered three interceptions and 57 tackles. Late in the 2003 season, Richardson accepted an invitation to the Las Vegas All-American Classic showcase game. Joseph Goosby, Jr. (born September 6, 1986) is an American former professional football linebacker who played in the Arena Football League (AFL). In college, he played for Tulane University.
