2013 Malaysian Open
The 2013 BMW Malaysian Open was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the fourth edition of the Malaysian Open and was an International tournament on the 2013 WTA Tour. The tournament took place from February 25 to March 3 at the new venue Royal Selangor Golf Club. This was the last time that Malaysia hosted the event, as in 2014 it will move to Hong Kong, China. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a type of surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Ayumi Morita
is a Japanese former professional tennis player. She reached a career-high ranking of 40 in the world in October 2011. At junior level, she reached a combined career-high ranking of 3. Morita is known for strong and consistent two-handed groundstrokes which she hits very flat. She was also regarded as very tough mentally for a young player, often showing great resolve to win close matches despite a lackluster serve. Daniela Hantuchová
Daniela Hantuchová (; born 23 April 1983) is a Slovak tennis commentator and retired player. She turned professional in 1999 and had her breakthrough year in 2002, when she won her first WTA Tour title at the Indian Wells Open, defeating Martina Hingis in the final and becoming the lowest-ranked player to ever win the tournament. Wang Qiang (tennis)
Wang Qiang (; ; born 14 January 1992) is a Chinese tennis player. On 9 September 2019, Wang achieved her highest singles ranking of world No. 12, becoming the third-highest ranked Chinese tennis player in history after Li Na and Zheng Qinwen. She has won two singles titles on the WTA Tour, one WTA Challenger singles title, and 14 singles titles and one doubles title on the ITF Circuit. Her best performance at a major came at the 2019 US Open when she advanced to the quarterfinals. Luksika "Luk" Kumkhum (; ; born 21 July 1993) is a Thai tennis player. She turned professional in 2011, and reached her career-high singles ranking of world No. 66 on 19 November 2018. Zarina Diyas
Zarina Diyas (; ; born 18 October 1993) is a Kazakh professional tennis player. She has been WTA rankings, ranked as high as No. 31 by the Women's Tennis Association, WTA. Diyas has won one singles title on the WTA Tour, at the 2017 Japan Women's Open, along with nine singles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. Akgul Charievna Amanmuradova (; born June 23, 1984) is an inactive professional tennis player from Uzbekistan. At 1.90 metres in height, she is one of the tallest female tennis players in history.
