Television In Croatia
Television in Croatia was first introduced in 1956. As of 2012, there are 10 nationwide and 21 regional DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting – Terrestrial) television channels, and there are more than 30 other channels either produced in the Republic of Croatia or produced for the Croatian market and broadcast via IPTV (Internet Protocol television), cable, or satellite television. The electronic communications market in Croatia is regulated by the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), which issues broadcast licenses and monitors the market. The DVB-T and satellite transmission infrastructure is developed and maintained by the state-owned company Odašiljači i veze (OiV). The first television signal broadcast in Croatia occurred in 1939 during the Zagreb Fair, where Philips showcased its television system. '' Secret Story'' 5 is the fifth edition of the French reality show '' Secret Story''. It started on July 8 at 8:45 pm on TF1 and concluded on October 14, 2011, lasting 98 days. The winner of this season is Marie Garet. Housemates Anthony He is 26 years old, from Narbonne in France. On Day 1, during the first gala, he was nominated with Elizabeth in the « crystal ball ». He won his place in the House of Secrets with 75% to enter, but after only one week, he was evicted on Day 7 with 10% to save. His secret was not discovered by the other housemates during the show. Big Brother (Croatian TV Series)
''Big Brother'' is the Croatian version of the international reality television franchise ''Big Brother'' created by producer John de Mol Jr. in 1997. The show was aired on RTL Televizija. It followed a number of contestants who live in an isolated house trying to avoid being evicted by the public with the aim of winning a large cash prize at the end of the run. Throughout the season, housemates are completing tasks, every incomplete task reduces the prize. In the first four regular seasons and the celebrity season, the house was located in Jadran Film studios, in Dubrava, Zagreb. In the fifth season, the house used is the '' Big Brother Thailand'' house. There have been seven regular seasons and one celebrity season. ''Big Brother'' holds the record for having the most regular seasons with only male contestants winning the show each year (although the celebrity edition was won by a woman). ''Secret Story'' is a French reality competition television show. Despite not being a direct adaptation of the ''Big Brother'' franchise's format, created by producer John de Mol Jr. in 1997, the show has a similar concept while including its own game mechanics, and is also produced and owned by ''Big Brothers production company Endemol Shine Group/Banijay. It follows a group of contestants who live together in a specially constructed house named ''La maison des secrets'' (''The House of Secrets'') that is isolated from the outside world for a cash prize. The contestants are continuously monitored during their stay in the house by live television cameras as well as personal audio microphones. Throughout the course of the competition, contestants are evicted from the house, by being voted out of the competition by the spectators. Veliki Brat VIP 5
''Veliki Brat VIP 2013'' also known as ''Veliki Brat VIP 5'' (short ''VBVIP5'') was the fifth celebrity season of the Serbian production of '' Veliki Brat''. It premiered on 25 March 2013 on B92 as the first season to be broadcast on this channel since '' Veliki Brat 2009'' and the first celebrity season since '' Veliki Brat VIP 2008''. The season lasted 43 days until the live finale on 6 May 2013. The winner is Žarko Stojanović. Many celebrities were rumored to be the housemates, some of the including Boris Novković, Samantha Fox, Milić Vukašinović, Lepa Lukić, Saška Janković and some former housemates from the regular season. Producers did not want to comment on the speculations, and did not confirm nor dismiss the rumors. ''Veliki Brat'' (lit: ''Big Brother'') was a Serbian version of the global reality show franchise '' Big Brother''. The show was recorded and produced in Belgrade by Emotion Production. Originally, the show began as a Serbian production with housemates from Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The third season also included housemates from Macedonia. For the fourth season Croatian broadcaster and producer RTL became involved, and auditions were held in Croatia, making the show Pan-regional. In Serbia, the show was often broadcast by different channels. The first three regular seasons and three celebrity seasons were broadcast on B92 & Prva channel, while the other two celebrities and the fourth regular season were broadcast on Pink. ''Ples sa zvijezdama'' (English: ''Dancing with the Stars'') is a Croatian dance competition television series. It is the Croatian version of the British television series ''Strictly Come Dancing'' and a part of the global ''Dancing with the Stars'' television franchise. The series follows various Croatian celebrities paired up with professional dancers competing for the win an elimination-style format. Originally produced and broadcast by HRT, ''Ples sa zvijezdama'' debuted on HRT 1 in December 2006 to a ratings success, becoming one of the most popular television series on the network during its run. After the eighth season concluded in 2013, the series went on a hiatus on HRT, until it was picked up by Nova TV, which aired the ninth, tenth and eleventh season from 2019 to 2023.
