2013 Hong Kong Sevens
The 2013 Hong Kong Sevens was the 38th edition of the Hong Kong Sevens and the sixth tournament of the 2012–13 IRB Sevens World Series. It was hosted by its long-time home, Hong Kong Stadium. Fiji won the title by defeating Wales 26–19 in the final. Format The teams were divided into pools of four teams, who played a round-robin within the pool. Points were awarded in each pool on the standard schedule for rugby sevens tournaments (though different from the standard in the 15-man game)—3 for a win, 2 for a draw, 1 for a loss. Building on the changes made for the 2012 Hong Kong Sevens, in which two separate 12-team competitions were contested, the International Rugby Board (IRB) expanded the event to a total of 28 teams, again divided into two competitions. Hong Kong National Rugby Sevens Team
The Hong Kong national rugby sevens team is a regular participant in the Rugby World Cup Sevens. The team's greatest achievements include winning the gold medal at the Rugby sevens at the 2018 Asian Games, 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and winning the Asian Sevens Series a record 7 times. 2013 Scotland Sevens
The 2013 Scotland Sevens was the seventh edition of the tournament and the eighth tournament of the 2012–13 IRB Sevens World Series. The host stadium was the Scotstoun Stadium. At the end of this event, the top 12 "core teams" (those participating in all series events) on the series table secured their core status for the 2013–14 series. The remaining three core teams will drop to the eight-team World Series Core Team Qualifier, to be held during the season's final event in London. Georgia National Rugby Sevens Team
The Georgia national rugby sevens team is a minor national sevens side. They have featured at the Rugby World Cup Sevens on four occasions and compete annually at the Rugby Europe Sevens. They have occasionally qualified for the World Rugby Sevens Series, but they have never been a 'core team' on the Sevens Series. The Tonga national rugby sevens team competes in the World Rugby Sevens Series. Tonga has participated in all but one of the Rugby World Cup Sevens tournaments. The Russia national rugby sevens team competed in the World Rugby Sevens Series and the Rugby World Cup Sevens. After the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, World Rugby and Rugby Europe suspended Russia from international and European continental rugby union competition. Samisoni Viriviri Nasagavesi (born 25 April 1988) is a Fiji rugby union player. He played for the Fiji sevens team, and in 2014 won the World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year award after leading the 2013-14 World Rugby Sevens Series in tries scored. He has signed with the French Top 14 club Montpellier. Early career Viriviri started his career playing in the local 7's competition.
