2013 F2000 Championship Series Season
The 2013 F2000 Championship Series season was the eighth season of competition in the series. It consisted of 14 rounds (seven double-race weekends), beginning April 11 at Virginia International Raceway and concluding August 25 at Summit Point Raceway. The race schedule was largely un-changed from the previous year, as only the round at New Jersey Motorsports Park was eliminated and a second weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course was added. Tim Minor clinched the championship after the fourth race at Mid-Ohio, becoming the first Masters Class driver to win the overall championship as well as being becoming the first series champion not to drive a Van Diemen Van Diemen International, Ltd. was a British race car manufacturer based in Snetterton, Norfolk, United Kingdom. F2000 Championship Series
The F2000 Championship Series is a North American–based open wheel road racing series based on Formula Continental, a wings and slicks series that is designed to be the second step after Formula F 1600. The series utilizes the 2.0L powerplant of the new Mazda MZR engine or an older Zetec or Pinto engine coupled with chassis from companies such as Van Diemen, Citation, Mygale, RFR, Radon and Piper. Unlike other developmental series, there are no spec cars in F2000. The series has existed in one form or another since the 1970s and the current championship has been in place since 2006 and was founded by a group of Sports Car Club of America racers as a pro series for SCCA Formula Continental club racers looking for more competition, and a proving ground for aspiring open wheel racers. 2008 champion Anders Krohn has gone on to Star Mazda as has 2009 champion Chris Miller. Santino Michael Ferrucci (born May 31, 1998) is an American professional racing driver. He competes in the IndyCar Series, driving the No 14 Chevrolet for A.J. Foyt Racing. He has also previously raced in the FIA Formula 2 Championship. Career Lower formulae He competed in five races in German Formula Three for EuroInternational, scoring 2nd in his fourth. Dean Baker (born July 13, 1958) is an American macroeconomist who co-founded the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) with Mark Weisbrot. Baker has been credited as one of the first economists to have identified the 2007–08 United States housing bubble. Early life and education Baker was born into a Jewish family and grew up in the Lake View neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois.
