2013 Africa Cup Of Nations
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, also known as the Orange Africa Cup of Nations South Africa 2013 for sponsorship reasons, held from 19 January to 10 February 2013, was the 29th Africa Cup of Nations, the football championship of Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Starting from this edition, the tournament was switched to being held in odd-numbered years instead of even-numbered years so that it does not clash with the FIFA World Cup. This edition was therefore the first to be held in an odd numbered year since 1965. South Africa hosted the tournament for the second time, after previously hosting the 1996 African Cup of Nations. The 2013 tournament is the highest attended edition of the Africa Cup of Nations under the current, 16-team format. Hijani Himoonde also known as Hichani Himoonde (born 1 August 1986) is a Zambian former professional footballer who played as a defender. Between 2006 and 2013 he made 42 FIFA-official appearances scoring 1 goal for the Zambian national team. Career Himoonde was born in Ndola. Hervé Jean-Marie Roger Renard (born 30 September 1968) is a French professional football coach and former player who is the manager of the Saudi Arabia national team. Renard has previously been the manager of Zambia national team, with whom he won the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations; he also won the competition in 2015 with the Ivory Coast, becoming the first coach to win two Africa Cup of Nations with different teams. Jacob Mulenga (born 12 February 1984) is a Zambian former professional footballer who played as a striker. Mulenga started his footballing career at age 18 with hometown club Afrisport, before moving to Châteauroux in 2004. Five years later, he moved to FC Utrecht where he made his definitive breakthrough but also suffered two serious knee injuries. Rainford Kalaba (born 14 August 1986) is a Zambian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Linafoot club TP Mazembe. Career Kalaba was born in Kitwe.
